[Valkyria Chronicles] How to Clear Lancer Challenge using Level 1 Troops - "A" Rank 

Ironically enough, all my lancers hit their targets, except for Largo. So much for being a EW1 veteran. The blond dude with the pompadour has Anti-Armor buff.

No need to shoot the sniper from below. There is a ladder on the west side of the tower that lets you climb to kill Stark the Hawk.

I believe the hitbox on the tanks has been changed, I tried from various angles and couldn't hit it directly, it always hit threads even if I hit the top of the box. PC Steam.

@Zapen7 i dunno if you are still reading this in 2019, but i recently saw VC4 in Steam only to realize there is actually a VC1 released many years ago. so i decided to download and play VC1 first. and got through many missions with your through guide. from the Ruhm, to the Anti tank sniper rifle, to this Lance, and later Sniper challenge etc. Although i wasnt using lvl 1 troops. i power leveled most of them to lvl 18 (Scouts, Shocktrooper) and lvl 14 for the rest. and had Rosie with the Ruhm already by the time i played this. Though i didnt have the Kar 9 yet, which is why i had to use 2 CP to kill the Medium Tank in the Base, instead of 1 CP. but at least i had Rosie kill all the incoming Shocktrooper with her Ruhm interception fire, so it saved me some CP there also. I literally had your guide on 1 monitor and the game on the other monitor and followed it step by step, and pause the video after each turn. lol i know some gamers will call me boring for breaking the game, but its okay. not intending to replay the game once its completed anyway.

Thank you very much, for all your guides for the challenges. They were so infuriating otherwise, and even with your guidance, it wasn't always smooth sailing. As pointed out by others before, I'm not too sure about the level design for this stuff! However, I don't know if they changed anything since you create these, but I couldn't for the life of me snipe that tank at the back, the one with the funky hitbox. I had to do it with lancers, the old fashion way. I also brought lancers with me at the start instead of shocktroopers, since I thought the blast-armor the lancers wear might be better suited for the mission, but this seemed to the have changed the targeting priorities of the tanks, which tried to take out Alicia, and succeed in taking out Rosie after the first turn. Might just be RNG though. As for the Ace on the map, I'm unsure as to why you didn't just climb the ladder on the left side of the building and shot him in the back from there. This seems to cancel his ability to dodge. It's what I did but I might have missed something. Anyway, thanks again for all the help!

I don't think this works on the ps4 American release probably because the tanks are not in the same spot the rock actually only blocks 1 of the 3 tanks if I take out the other the third one is sufficient to kill a scout which shuts down the entire core to this strategy in 1 fell swoop.

yo lo estoy jugando ahora y sin duda le han hecho algo a esta versión porque no se puede eliminar ese tanque de esta forma, aunque creo que podría hacerlo ya que al no perder a Largo, Rosie ni Alice, tengo mas puntos de mando que en el vídeo. Estaba haciendo este desafío junto a la de los lanceros para conseguir las armas, y solo me la han dado una vez, no se si es aleatorio o solo se puede obtener una vez, en cambio las zm kar 8 y 9 si dan varias, así que si no las dan y solo sirve para farmear experiencia, lo mejor es la escaramuza de exploradores que es la más fácil.

I played mine early in EP11, with leveled soldiers but without anti tank sniper, was hell, rage quit after that scout rush to capture my base. So this really need some specific equipment and lots of save spamming. I think this was quite shame on level designer.

I can't get that red medium tank with sniper. The only spot I get with 1 hit kill always kills treads only. Did they patch hitbox?

Doesn't work on PS4. The sniper hitbox just isn't there.
