Valkyrie no Densetsu 1989 Namco Mame Retro Arcade Games

Such an amazing musical score for a 1989 arcade game... Namco always had such amazing musical scores to their arcade games, with my favorite being Soul Edge.

I played this a little at a custom arcade cabinet with RetroPie. It's really good. I wish there were more heroines like Valkyrie.

Now why didn't Namco gave us this wonderful adventure game for the U.S.? Even if it was for home consoles, it would have given Nintendo's Legend Of Zelda a run for its money.

A modern update of this would be pretty sweet.

The overworld theme shares the exact motif and notes than the overworld theme in Tales of Symphonia. Considering this is Namco, you shouldn't be surprised. Nice little game.

Imagine if there is 2021 remake.

I know Hindsight is 20/20 and all, but Namco couldn't done more with this franchise like an action rpg for the super nintendo and a 3d sequel for the playstation 1 and 2 because taking this character to the next level is a pretty badass concept.

Nino, Ichika, Yotsuba, Miku, and Itsuki Nakano all beaten this in NAMCO MUSEUM VOLUME 5.

At first when I heard this game's soundtrack, I thought this was a mid 90's game, not knowing it was made in '89. Prettt ambitious for that time

The Legendary Valkyrie is probably the Last Namco Game of the 80s and the First Namco Game of the Early 90s or it's other name is the Legend of Valkyrie

Ending reminds me of katamari a lot. Namco's character designs are really interesting, and even ahead of its time in some aspects with its easy to read and modern looking spritework.

Actually, She also appeared in Tales Of Eternia As A Guest Boss Also Project X Zone's Prequel, Namco X Capcom Brought Not Only Valkyrie, But Also Brought Kurino Sandra (2P) & Sabine (Ally) Valkyrie Also Appeared In Tales Of The World Narikiri Dungeon 3

OMG whirlo, and the game has eerily similar music to the game whirlo's in (sandra no daibouken in japan). Look up the game online its a great snes platformer game that not alot of people know about. Very Underatted I must say, but its a great platformer. The music is very great the visuals are great. And This game is probaly part of the series from what I see.
