The enemy vipers smoke affects a friendly viper because lore-wise it's apparently thinner and can go through her mask. Essentially both sides have masks specifically tuned for their own gas but not for the difference in the others.

The “explosion” of the spike is supposed to be stealing the radianite that you can see on the sites. It pretty much just transports the stuff to the home base on the mirror world. Or, it sucks out the energy of the radianite which explains why you can still see the stuff on the site, and why you die to the blast. I remember hearing radianite was for energy purposes.

Here's a easier answer for the Neon's question, other character can run but they run slow cause they're holding a gun, and running with a knife is dumb so they don't go fast either, you can see Neon putting away her gun when running

My idea about running in Valorant is that characters can’t normally run because they have to carry so much weight around. They can walk a little quicker while holding a knife but you’re still lugging around a sidearm and a rifle. BUT, Neon’s electricity could serve as a boost to her running ability. The electricity could help move her joints with less stress on the body, giving her the ability to run unlike the other characters.

ill explain the whole thing, with reference to lore. kayo's crunch isnt a bone crunch, it's more like the metal crunching. there is a slight whirring noise if you listen correctly. there is no human inside kayo, he has radianite inside him. viper too is puzzled about the fact that her mask doesnt work for the mirror viper's gas. it is probably because the radianite (the yellow thingy in the boxes on a fracture) used to make the toxins is different from our radianite (the blue thingy in the boxes in other sites) the orbs sage has are radianite orbs. she controls their purpose, if she wants to create walls/slows/heals with them. radianite is the mineral that gives the agents their "radiant" powers, so they're magical, basically. cypher might as well rap, lmao. except he's a murderer and he likes to stay that way chamber summons his guns, which are not in his dimension, but in the middle of the two earths. the spike actually isnt a real bomb, it's just a machine that steals radianite. the "mirror earth"s agents ive talked about teleport to our earth to steal our radianite (after radianite appears on earth, it is used for powering sources, replacing electricity and other energy suppliers) so the spike detonates and the radianite in its area is teleported to the mirror earth. agents die because the spike also takes away the radianite INSIDE them. while many of the agents (like kj, chamber, brimstone) are not radiants, but they have been exposed to radianite, hence killing them as well (it could also be so that the game is fair). the map is unaffected because the spike does not cause any actual damage. THE BUCKY IS AWESOME SHUT UP YOU IDIOT MY DOG IS NAMED AFTER THAT GUN neon is not the only one that runs. when you're pressing w normally, the agents ARE running. when you hold shift and w, that's when you're walking. makes sense because when you walk, you dont make too much of noise but when you run you make a whole load of footstep-y noise. neon does what she does because the electricity in her powers her body to run faster. about the phoenix thing, his flash is so badly done that he always ends up flashing his team instead of enemies. this is why you don't see too many phoenixes on higher ranks. phoenix as an agent is a good fragger but when the noobs use him (for his looks and accent) they end up being a tryhard. the spike cannot be picked by you because first off, that ruins the game. imagine being attacker and that one player that immediately takes spike at the beginning and goes and pushes alone (we've all had those players) dies. the enemy would just pick it up and not give it to you, in which case you would have to kill all enemies before time runs out. chaotic? yeah. second: the spike is designed by mirror earth killjoy and it has been designed so that it identifies the person that has it (which is also why we see who has it as attackers) and only the people that are registered (valorant agents) are able to pick it up. for others, it looks like a hologram. if u have a question, shoot

8:15 Well in order to detonate the spike you need radionite, which happens to be found in the green/turquoise boxes that are on most sites. (Some are orange like on fracture a site) These also happen to give most agents their abilities. I think the spike needs more radionite then abilities so that’s why you can’t just take them with you.

I really hope you make a Valorant For Noobs 2.0 because there has been 8 new agents added since the closed beta (I think), and a whole bunch of new maps to play and is over all a whole different game than it was two years ago. If you are really enjoying the game, than maybe you can make agents their own videos, but a Valorant For Noobs is definitely a good start!

Just a quick FYI he called them legends not agents.

The spike is not a bomb… the spike is a device to teleport the radianite from the sites to a unknown base. When you look around on every site there is a green/ orange box on everyone with radianite inside that everyone is trying to defend or steal, and the reason you die is because you get teleported to a base and shot on site or capture of some sorts.

Talking about the Spike: The Spike is a thing that creates so much energy, that, well, that energy can kill anything in its path. The Spike was designed to absorb and / or destroy Radianite. (Radianite is the In-Game terminology for the crystal things that gives the Agents their powers, sort of like kryptonite, but, it's actually good.)

So in valorant lore this is the same universe.

To answer the spike explosion thing is kinda weird but simply it is just a teleporter that when exploded will take the raidianite to an alternate dimension where they have almost run out of the stuff. That is also why there is 2 of each agent sometimes (they are just invaders from an alternate dimension)

A lot of these can be explained if you know lore. For example the spike "explosion" one, the purpose of the spike is to steal Radianite. Attackers are basically copies of the real characters that come from Omega Earth (A copy of Alpha Earth, our Earth) and they are trying to steal Radianite using the spike. Their reason behind it hasn't been answered yet but it could be that they need its energy to survive or to just weaponize it. I hope you found that interesting :)

I feel that a lot of questions in this video can be answered by Jeppy's lore video. such as why the spike doesn't destroy the map, because the explosion is only pulling in the radiant from its surroundings (check out jeppys video for more info it's an hour long but worth it)

at 3:35 it is asked who brimstone knows so that he can use his ult well.... Brimstone has an armband sort of thing, and Kill Joy gave that to him which connects him to a kingdom satellite that has a big laser on it

I have an explanation as to why they dont run. The simple thing is, If you were in a shoot out with multiple people both in front and behind you would you run? No you would either hunker down and wait for them to come to you by picking a corner lineup to instantly one tap them. or slow down so that you can get a bearing on where they are and have better accuracy. Military tactics. I can prove it using the game as well. In the game you move faster by having your knife out. And you can press shift to move at a slower pace. The faster pace alerts people to where you are. So if you ran (like neon does) the enemy would hear big slapping footsteps rushing at them giving them time to set up and just plainly ambush you. This is proven in the game where you can hear Neon's running footsteps farther away than the other agents footsteps. Also if you move slower you have better reaction time to if someone pops up in your view. Think about how many times have you killed someone while they were running away with their knife out? They have no reaction to suddenly shooting them because they were rushing away with a knife. simple tactics. I also realize this is my third comment doing this. oh well.

At 5:04 no the spike as explained in the trailer steals radianite and in the duality cinematic there are two worlds resulting to both of them fighting the other world which is earth 2 there radianite is rapidly decreasing for some unkown reason so it dosent damage the place at all only stealing the radianite.

7:10 : Its because the bullet reached its maximum velocity from further away. The closer you are, the quicker it has to reach its maximum velocity ; meaning you shot it at a point where it wouldnt have had time to reach its max. When you are further away. It has time to reach its max and also decellerate cause of air resistance and gravity. By the time it started to decellerate and hit the wall, it already had enough speed built up to make a significantly larger hole.

For the Spike thing, The spike takes radianite from the surronding area so it only takes radianite not the buildings surronding it however it can kill someone.

for the kayo part, the reason we hear bones cracking and blood coming out of him is because the riot devs were too lazy to add detail. and i think vipers gas messes with his wires or something thats why he gets weak, and the spike explodes in a black half-orb type thingy and it teleports the raidiante from the real world to the mirror world and i think if any human or living being comes in it they die

2:40 No Kayo is a robot with a human brain, to be exact it is Brimstones old friends brain, I think the devs just made it the bones crack noise the fall damage for him so they didnt have to customize that much and or cause problems on servers (somehow). Or they just got lazy. But also when kayo pulls out an ability or walks or runs, you can hear the robotic/mechanical noises so they might've just not wanted to cause any confusion with noises, (even though they did with the bones cracking).

The lore reason behind the explosion is that it isn't exploding, the green boxes on every site ( also the reason you need to plant the spike in certain places) contain radianite and people from the mirror earth (attacking side) plant the spike and let it "detonate" which is actually it teleporting the radianite to the other earth and presumably our agents can't survive the trip

the spike doesnt destroy anything because in a cinematic its explained that the spike just steals radianite from the area around it, thats why it expands then shrinks. It takes radianite from the ground its on and the things around it and then shoots back into the spike to be collected by the “evil agent doubles”. and yes, im confusing myself but its in a cinematic? idk

3:50 The crystals/rocks contain the healing and slowing properties to then heal/slow enemies. The slow orb I think is just the Orb shattering all over the ground and the orb like I said had slowing properties so it shatters and slows enemies and teammates who walk over it

I has a theory for the Kay/O thing. Yes he is a robot. For a robot to have complete functionality as a working human you need things to make sure that it wont go down like a robot would so fluids need to be introduced into the robot to make more "fluid" motions (pun intended?) The glowing blue that you see on Kay/O around his body might be just pipes that the fluid go through. as for the bones cracking every robot with a humanoid look has an endoskeleton and take into account Kay/O according to his lore came from a different alternate universe when he has been going from battle after battle. his body has to be worn down after that series of battles and with no time for a little TLC to fix it there are bound to be some flaws such as a metal bone in his leg to crack after falling. As for Viper's stuff, they work as an acidic poison not just a regular poison so Kay/O being affected by it actually makes sense after all he is just metal. And acid can eat away at that.
