Checking and adjusting the valve clearance or lash on the 2006 BWM R1200GS Adventure is super quick and easy. Anyone can do this DIY job at home with basic hand tools. I also replaced all four spark plugs with new ones while I have the covers off.

Airhead here. It´s nice to see that the whole procedure didn´t change massively over the course of 37 years xD. The "dropping" method only works properly though if the threads are in order. Some folks think it´s necessary to apply force until the water is squeezed out of the screw :D Thx for the video. Cheers!

Metric vice grips 😁. Guess I better sell all my old Harley SAE set! Wish I could ride with you and add some rocks to my coil covers but I am probably half a world away.

Yes, 2002-2012 is the same: Inlet 0.15mm (SOHC Models) Exhaust 0.30mm (SOHC Models) Inlet 0.13mm > 0.23mm (DOHC Models) Exhaust 0.30mm > 0.40mm (DOHC Models) Yours will be DOHC

My 2008 GS clock 90k, do you think is time for valves clearance, or there's any symptoms if the are out. But engine idle very smooth.

The manual says to inspect and adjust every 20000km. Mine was a bit tight on two valves, but also ran well before. I'd just do it if I were you. It really is a very simply job. Similar to an old classic car. Shout if you have any questions@@lufunodreadierambuda5800
