Valve Doesn't Want to Make a New CSGO Operation so I Made One For Them

That procedural dungeon thing sounds a lot like something that was leaked back around the last operation. I get the sense they saw the appeal of a similar idea but I think it's dead in the water

My bet is that there will be a massive content update along with the source 2 port. I assume the act just porting it to source 2 will disappoint everyone, so they have to release a major update + new features to make it worthy.

We got CS2 instead, so possibly the next operation rolls out with the release of that. Also your operation reminds me of condition zero deleted scenes, one of my favorite games during childhood.

you mentioning subzero brings back memories i would have NEVER remembered otherwise. played so many intern matches on this map with my crew back then, i am getting cheesy nostalgic right now lol edit one of at least two: the mayan themed collection is a great idea and would fit well with ancient, disregarding that we already have an ancient collection since this one isn't really aimed at the artstyle of the ancient cultures in south america. having three collections aimed at these ancient cultures is a great idea and you've put a lot of great thoughts into this edit two: great video overall! i think i would love to see some of the features you mentioned in the next operation. the 1v1 mode might be implemented just like wingman, first solely for the purpose of the operation and then being added to the game later on. i would also love to see a story mode that is more thought out than just two half-assed story missions like in the last two operations. the whole lore thing with the mass destruction weapons seems a bit far fetched and out of my comfort zone because this huge change to the game would (in my interpretation) mean changes to too many maps. what i love about cs is that you have the same stuff over and over again with small changes; changing almost all of the environment you are used to at one time just seems too drastic. i am definitely looking forward to the next operation (maybe even linked to source 2 as you mentioned) and personally i think valve would be lucky to have someone as creative as you are on their team, since either they are lazy and lack inspiration, or they are indeed cooking something very very big

the Global Offensive thing would be a gran finale for the game at this engine, cool idea bro

7:35 Dude, you won’t believe it, but in the 2019-2020 updates, dataminers found lines in code about the Dungeon Game Mode that you are talking about, where 2 players walked through a procedurally generated dungeon, and went even lower down the elevator, finding even more improved guns, but encountering even more difficult enemies. Gabe Follower also talked about this on his Russian-language channel. But apparently this idea was either frozen or removed.

Bro i just love the idea of calling an operation Global offensive, we all know that valve would most likely drop the GO from CS if they release the source 2 CS. With world wide chaos and struggle to hold power across the globe would be an event that would be perfect way to say good bye to CSGo and port the game to new engine, people like u along with map creators, skin creators who put time into development of the game are the heart and soul of this game and i would love if your ideas and vision are noticed at Valve

I normally don't care that much about operations but this would be sick, I'd actually be invested in the maps and the story. Combine that with the comp overhaul and some new game modes and I wouldn't complain about updates for YEARS

„Operation: Global Offensive“ gives me goosebumps. This would be a really great way to close a chapter, and continue with a new one. Even better, due to this way of introducing S2 they can shut the most people where still thinking of S2 making CS a to a new game.

Well, in 2022 we got dreams and disappointment and recoil case, 2 majors ( one of them being absolute trash, yes I am talking to you Rio ) and small weapon/map changes here and there. For 2023 what it looks like is 2 majors, small weapon/map changes here and there, and somehow adding Anubis collections and a case or two. I think they pushed operations again because of Valorant and since it's not a real competitor to CSGO and the player base is somehow always rising, they see that there is no need to sweat and they can just do small updates. Skins are still getting more and more expensive, people still open cases, life is great....

What about "Operation Condition Zero" ? That operation have a similar gameplay like cscz, with many different maps and bot AI difficulty, you can choose the team like Maverick, Steel, Duke, that will be interesing

As a mapper, I think relying on 3 old maps for an operation (Especially ones that don't hold up graphically, like Overgrown), is an annoying crutch in the community. Not blaming you in particular, but its a widespread problem. There are plenty of very cool up-and-coming community maps that should really have more attention than looking back to old maps that are flawed in modern CSGO. Some cool ideas but I would like to see people being more progressive about community maps as a whole. I think there are plenty of ideas for how to do this if any content creators were to actually talk to mapmakers
