I completely agree! I've always felt the most connection to the caitiff and have always loved the idea of an autarkis caitiff scholar. Now that I've discovered this channel, this immersive lore vid is going to be Canon to my first larp character (who is also caitiff) 😅

I randomly came across this channel about a week ago and I immediately fell in love with it. I’m starting up a big VtM game and these videos are helping so much since I have like 8 players and they’re all playing different clans
This has helped me while writing up some stories in this setting. They center around Bran O’Brian, or Atlas, as he attempts to guide the young Kindred of his city. (Yes the bioshock reference is clear. Yes it’s relevant)

I was just starting to write out my first larp character, and for immersion, I was doing an in character parallel of myself embraced and left behind. This "audiobook" just saved their unlife for their first upcoming Elysium! This is incredible

Can't wait for you to make a Long-form beginner's lore video for Mage like this one, (I'm assuming with Harry Dresden showing a newly Awakened POV character the ropes, based on your mage shorts so far) that said I can completely understand if you put that off for a while due to the fact that Mage the Ascension is kind of a screaming pit of swirling lore-hell rivaled only on occasion by the madness that is Changeling (I swear Mage's lore can be so esoteric that actually understanding it literally turns you into a wizard). Love the video.

This is amazing. You are honestly super talented to have made this. The writing for this is fantastic and the images in the video are a perfect match and beautifully go along with the narative.
I always like to change the lore and mechanics in my homebrews. I always ask myself how can I make the world of darkness darker? and I would include elements from Chronicles of Darkness, and change the mechanics and rules of what makes a vampire, I would also add in forgotten ancient Hyborian-like prehistories to help unite all mythologies. I also would make all Vampires, including Antidelluvians, and even their Progenitor Caine, and all supernaturals in general as playthings to cosmic horror beings. Sometimes it's the Wyrm, sometimes it's the Neverborn, sometimes it's the God Machine, and sometimes it's other godlike beings from beyond space and time that can bend reality or break it to their will. Anything that can help me make the World of Darkness darker, more ominous, and more ancient.
This was fantastic. The fact that it was told from a Caitiff perspective made it all the more enjoyable. A neutral outside opinion on the 13 clans. Thank you for also expanding on the Hecata. I was actually rather curious as I havnt played since 3rd.

Uhhh the Brujah's "clash" with the Camarilla led to the deaths of significant VENTRUE figures. I don't remember any named Brujah character dying throughout that Prague debacle.

@@TerrilliumVI even have an idea for you to justify the mistake. Your videos tend to take the POV of someone WITHIN the WoD. So the POV character in this video, despite obviously being competent and knowledgeable, could have fallen for this particular piece of Ventrue propaganda claiming it was the Brujah who came out worse for wear at Prague. It's not even unrealistic as loads of people, from brilliant statesmen to ACTUAL scientists, have bought into peculiar pieces of misinformation throughout history. Regardless, you guys rock!

So my friend is getting me into VTM as he plans to run a game soon. This was the first breakdown I found and I love it. Very detailed but easy to follow too. And I especially enjoyed that it was presented in character/in universe.

I mean any clan can technically eventually learn all disciplines, it's just the first 3 caitiff pick. I think it's very bias to say caine was caitiff, it makes sense if you don't think about it too much, but remember, vampirism was initially a curse, and gave the vampire literally nothing but blood thirst. It's just that god used a certain thing called quintessence like any mage would to make this change in him, and because it was gods own esseence, when caine learned to harness it, he ended up becoming stupidly powerful. But he learned all his disciplines, almost all, from lilith, the sun curse and fire curse he god from angels when he wouldn't repent. There are two things that point to what clan is actually mostly related to caine. It'd either be Ventrue, because his main chosen first son and leader of enoch was the sire of ventrue, and the only discipline caine invented on his own was dominate, their main discipline (even if others can use it, it's their clan discipline) And it only works on weaker generations specifically so it could never be used against him. OR the Ravnos, who share the only curse caine got from god besides the blood thirst we all share, which is the curse to wander, never having a home or settling in one place. Add that to the fact that caine apparently literally changed how reality worked as murder wasn't even a thing or something that could be done until he did it. It also makes their chimestry, having control over the fundaments of reality, seem to be closest to him aswell.

Wow i really want to do a playthrough now. I really want to do a brujah playthrough with disillusioned after the decimation of salubri and failure of anarch revolt became a wanderer fufilling any pleasures or interests to pass the time but now fights for redemption through finding a way to survive alongside humans. Idk it be cool because the passion and emotion for what you believe is right rings true

I hate that V5 changed the name from Children of Haqim/Assamites to Banu Haqim, and that they have joined the Camarillo as a Clan. Makes the fact that they are supposed to be a clan of mercenaries and assassins feel moot and diluted. But that’s just me.

IN depth, very informative even to those who have dipped their toes into the World of Darkness lore extensively. If by chance you still have the image, I'd love to use it as my desktop background. xD
