1:39:55 while it's logical to keep the deck cams off, it's a shame they didn't realise early they could just use the cameras to complete the quest (as there's a camera overlooking the sarcophagus), and the manifest is in the records room below. Do it this way and you don't even need to do 90% of the forced stealth. Also, next Hallowstream *please* try to do the quests A Plague for the Angels, Calling Dr. Grout, and Necromantic; they're the best horror quests at this stage of the game (before you eventually get to the really horrible Snuff is Enough questline).

Necromantic was the first one I thought about, when they entered Downtown. Would've been quite fitting for Hallowstream. A Plague for the Angels is the one with the "cancer lord" guy and the fight in the very red, very gross room? Perfectly on topic too!

Ah, watching these 3 play VtMB is always brilliant! Helping us fulfill our cravings while we wait Bloodlines 2. After which, of course, we will presumably also get video games for all the other great game lines. More, better games for Werewolf, Wraith, and Hunter. Some new stuff for Demon, Mummy, Mage, and Changeling would also be wondrous. Perhaps even something for Orpheus despite its subsumption into Hunter as one of the big monster corporations. Hope with fingers crossed while praying for the perfect timeline!

OMG. I'm so glad I started watching all your Hallowstream videos. I had this game when it first came out and loved it. Between then and the next couple years I lost the game and my desktop from high school fried, so I lost all my files and couldn't figure out what it was called to replace it. 41:28 I played this game on a clunky old laptop that was heavier than a neutron star... which apparently did not have enough computing power to render a half-decent framerate. I never saw the Sabbat actually run up to Nines-- he just blinked into place and I thought it was just a case of vampiric celerity.

I quite enjoyed the (basically) flawless Mike stealth. I also noticed that the aggro guys on the beach were the drug/bomb dealer from up the stairs and 2 of his thugs. I thought they ate him the last time.

The first year I moved in, I decided to go all-out for Halloween so I could hand out candy. Lucked out big-time at Party City that year because they sold these resin-stone skulls that were too good to put away in November. The skull has been sitting out on the bookshelf ever since.

So...the entire Elizabeth Dane mission can be done from the computer. Deck Cams On lets you see the sarcophagus you need to see from the security camera on the other monitor. unlock records unlocks a room with some records you can steal right below you, which is completely unguarded because it's locked....it's an extremely easy mission if you poke around with the computer a bit. Or you can go out and see it in person and have it be a nightmare in the patch because it fixes the absurdly forgiving stealth mechanics that the horrendously unstable base game had. Which, y'know, is a good thing because some of the instability would corrupt multiple save files or something ridiculous like that. But it does mean stealth actually needs you to pay attention now.

If you have never played the Clan Quest mod (which most notably adds the Sabbat clan as a fully joinable faction) for VtMB it's *almost* like having a sequel- or at least a solid DLC. If you join the Sabbat, pretty much the second half of the game has a whole new section of quests, a fleshed-out faction with different people vying for leadership, and its own neighborhood. It feels like it was part of the game all along, no obvious seams between the mod and main game really. Plus you have the option to burn LaCroix in the sunrise on top of his tower (and not get killed yourself) if you get the best Sabbat loyalist ending. I also want to see the chaos that is Jane and/or Mike cut a swath as a Sabbat. Masquerade, pah!

My one advice is be careful of which class you make fun of. I always made fun of Bards, little did I know that I would end up playing Bards due to the fact my playstyle leans heavily to AOE (Area Of Effect)

There is a masquerade boardgame and VTMB2 playtest from a few years ago i think but the actual sequel to this game basically got scrapped and given to another company and presumably delayed further.

Long-time OX watcher, first time commenter--I've watched the OX channels since before Andy could grow a beard and adore this team. I unsubscribed a couple of years ago though because, for some reason, only Mike & Ellen have the controller while the other three spectate. Those two are obviously valued members of the team but would it kill the brand if the ones who are actually good at video games played them? Fear Academy and Souls Academy are grand and all but do we really need two series watching Ellen learn to play a game three others members already know and are good at? I know this sounds a lot like b*tching, but after three years of watching the same two people struggle through game tutorials is, well, exhausting. Can we just get a mercy Andy Hitman or RDR2 stream or Luke playing literally anything? Please? 🥺
