I've seen a lot of guys cover this song. You're the only that paid attention to the actual GROOVE of the main riff. Everybody else just goes for the speed and never concentrates on making it "swing". Bravo, Sir

No joke - that's one of the best VH cover videos I've ever seen. The precise swing feel and accent pattern of that main intro/verse riff is one of the hardest things in Eddie's entire catalog to get right and you've nailed it in a way that a lot of players decades older than you can't.

When I think of Eddie, I think busy. He was all over the neck constantly working different sounds: slides, feedback, harmonics, bends, trills, fills, so much going on. In my opinion, this is the song you show people when you want to demonstrate why Eddie was one of the most innovative and unique guitar players of all time. My favorite song to play too. Great stuff.

BTW, this blows Pete Thorns version right off the face of the earth. Also, Dewzill Zappa saw Jacobs Mean Streets video and lost his friggen mind!! That led to a comment from Dewzill which led to Dewzill picking Jacob for his extremly prestigious guitarist of the year award followed by Dewzill having Jacob join him live on stage at his concert. Other than Eddie Van Halen himself, Jacob is the most refreshing, talented, interesting, guitarist to come along since Eddie himself. My favorite player in the world for the last 6 years running!!! If I was this good when I was sixteen, I would have never struggled for female company, and I am sure you don't either! Incredibly precise and accurate rendition of this song, which also happens to be one of my favorite VH songs ever, and it's not especially easy to play correctly either. Seeing this gives this old man hope for rock music going forward. There are so many people that believe the death of the guitar as the centerpiece of recorded music is imminent.

The is only thing more amazing than Jacobs covers of Van Halen, and that would be the thumbs down postings. Really? I just cant figure them out for the life of me. Jacobs covers are better then perfect. They are untouchable as far as comparing them to anything else there is on the internet. I have never found even one cover of Van Halen on the web that even remotely comes close to Jacobs. Trust me, I have looked and listened long and hard. Since there isn't anybody who comes close to Jacob covering Van Halen I can only form the conclusion that these are all jealous haters. There just isn't any other explanation. By the way, I've meticulously watched every single one of Jacobs videos many, many times. Out of all the thumbs down postings there is not one explanation for the reason for it or even one website to go and check out to show us the person whom is better than Jacob. I believe I know the answer for this. Its because it does not exist anywhere in the world. Period.
