A death count may not automatically come to mind when thinking about the 2004 blockbuster Van Helsing. However, it actually has one of the highest movie fatality rate in the 21st Century (maybe).
(No vampire babies were actually hurt in the making of this video)

This film should've been on the Academy's radar. The costumes were fantastic, the sets spectacular, the sounds were insane, and the score was so packed! Just why was this snubbed at the Oscars?

Shane Aycock Maybe because the acting was so campy and over the top in all the wrong ways, the same with the script. I think I see what they were going with but it doesn’t work.

I love watching this movie on random occasions. Am I the only one that wants to give all the werewolves ear scritchies? Van Helsing looks so weirdly adorable when he’s sad (which I mean, her death is a gut punch to finalize the movie, but he’s so CUTE while sad with the way the ears move!)

This was the first horror movie in which I watched on theatre. We discussed a lot and lot about this movie on our class rooms. Later, I watched Dracula, Nosferatu, Wolfman, Golem, Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, etc. Now, I watch it again and realize why IMDB ratings are low on this movie🤓🤓🤓

Let's face it, with Carl's invention having such a wide blast radius, he easily has the highest body count in the movie. Sure we only see the vampires in the room die, but let's not forget the entire ballroom of them and who knows how many more in that manor entirely.
