Fun fact, when parts of Australia are observing daylight savings, there are 7 different time zones in Australia if you include Christmas Island and Lord Howe Island (which have their own time zones). Also, in Nepal they use the UTC +0545 time zone, so it’s even worse than a 30min offset. I hope you enjoy the Great Ocean Road when you get there! It’s such a pretty area of Australia!

sorry to hear that you had trouble in South australia I don't think that is common. I live in country Victoria and many towns have closed police stations. Hope you enjoy Victoria
Mat it's not summer, it's the middle of Autumn heading into winter and being close to Antarctic, the winds blow off the ice to Australia. Loving your trip, but sad about your nasty event.
We were at the end of February while filming, sorry I should have mentioned that 😅 so I thought it could be still be considered summer, late summer at least.. but definitely being near to the Antarctic doesn’t help 🥶 Thank you so much ❤️

All along the Great Ocean Road and to Torquay they have very strict no camper van rules and big fines from the council if they catch you and they have council rangers checking for campers so you may need to book accommodation in caravan parks, it is expensive but.
Thank you for letting as know! We managed to find 2 free campsites on our way to Melbourne, but it was quite a job to find them 😅 The regular campsites were as you said too expensive for us!
