A little follow-up on the quiet baffles. Even though they sound great on this bike, they are not as loud as they were on my previous bike. Just wanted to let you know in case you were looking at the Twin Slash with quiet baffles. I would recommend trying it out with the stock baffles first to see if you can live with the noise level 😉.
Very nice video. Really like the calm explanation. Totally agree that the V&H needs the quiet baffles. The stock sound almost like an e-Bike, for my taste yours sound now exactly right. Enjoy the ride 👍🏽

You have a beautiful bike. With the saddle bags and windshield it’s the same as a Sportglide. I wish that I had purchased a Lowrider like yours. All that they had on the floor was a Softail Standard. Now the only Lowrider they make is the butt ugly and EXPENSIVE Lowrider S. Your bike now sells for more than you paid for it. I’ll just get used to the Standard.
Hahaha! That's exactly where I'm at in terms of trying to decide if to keep this FXLR or go with the FLSB.....? But I need to stop buying bikes too! But they Make it so easy to just trade up. Anyway, great vlog and good luck with the bike. It's looking beautiful.🤟🥃
That seems to be the case. Even the Harley techs don't agree on the policy depending on who you ask. My final recommendation is that you should only upgrade if you're willing to risk voiding the warranty.
Is it possible to use the stock heat shields for these slip ons? I have a 2021 Street Bob and will probably go with this slip on set up, but with standard baffles for a free er flow exhaust. Thanks
@@KSSTUDIOS on the HD site is says the Street Slammers handlebars do not fit the 2019 FXLR - yet you had it done at the dealer. They look great. Wonder why the site says they will not fit, did you run across this? Thanks. Great vids.
If I had a full system exhaust installed at the dealer it would not void the warranty. If I do the work myself then it may cause issues. The problem is that once the stock tuning map is removed the bike could get flagged in the dealer computer system and void any future warranty claims for certain parts.
If I remember correctly, the stock Harley gaskets I ordered were too large to fit between the head pipes and the mufflers. V&H did not list any required gaskets for my model. I originally thought the air leakage was cause by that, but I just didn't have the clamps tightened enough.
You are absolutely correct. The leaks stopped after I torqued the clamps down to recommended specs. I tried the stock Harley gaskets and they were too large for the opening on the V&H mufflers. Thanks for watching!
