How to Travel Vancouver Island. Vancouver Island is one of my favourite places in Canada. Filled with the Pacific Northwest Vibes of Tofino, the beautiful trails of Sooke & Port Renfrew and the historical city of Victoria. Seeking Justice its twice the size of the Hawaiian islands, three times the size of Jamaica. A whole Jamaica larger than Israel. Its the 43rd largest island in the world considering there is 2000+ islands in the world oceans alone so by definition its in the top 2% of the world island sizes

Yes - Vancouver Island is bigger than the country of Belgium, and about 1/4 the size of the UK. It takes 8 hours to drive from south to north.

🌻✨ yes, since creation First Nations people governed the lands ocean and peoples. I feel indigenous sounds less then human tho, a description, and normally given to plants.

I was born in Victoria in 1961 and my dad was born in Victoria in 1912. He was on the Sanich police force when there was only 5 offices on the whole force! I am very proud of him as he was an amazing man!!! An article was written about him in the Vancouver Sun as a cop and was called " the last of the good"

I'm planning a roadtrip in Febuary! Funnily enough, your itinerary is much the same as mine (i have a few extra stops planned for some hiking) and Tofino is on the maybe list for now depending if we wanna have the extra 3-4hours drive back onto our route. Would you recommend camping that time of year? While I know it doesn't get *too* cold, it's more the rain i'd be concerned about

Being from Kelowna I live in Indonesia now and enjoy the endless summer. However... I still believe that Canada and especially BC is the most beautiful place on earth. Your nice trip video proved it again and reminded me of my own many trips on that magnificent island. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely video! I've lived on Vancouver island my entire life, and I would suggest you go further up the island for another video sometime :) (Tofino isn't even half way up the Island) so there is a lot more for you to explore!

I live on Vancouver Island and these are some are some of my favourite places to visit.East Sooke Park is a really nice park with petroglyphs and it has a great easy day hike to a place called Cabin Point. Quadra Island is also a nice place to visit with good lakes, hikes, and camping. And Englishmen River Falls is are really good place to swim and hike.

Thanks for doing this Noah! Great Video I liked and Subscribed and can't wait to see more. My wife and I moved to Sooke in November 2018 after we visited for a vacation. It was literally life changing! Now we tell all our friends in Victoria about how great surfing in Tofino is and how much we enjoy Port Renfrew and all the stops in between.

Great cinematography- In our VI visit we also enjoyed the swimming pools on the road to Tofino. Also recommend Kinsol Trestle and Telegraph Cove.

The Kinsol Trestle is safer and able to connect hundreds of Kms on reclaimed train tracks turned bike trail from Lake Cowichan to Victoria

I currently reside near the water about 15 minutes north of Victoria and I know how lucky I am to live here. I never have to leave the island for vacations. Incredible.❤️

Apart from the abundant natural wonders and chill folks, the "big island" is the perfect place for a road trip. Due the the mild annual climate, the roads are amazing and even when you're in the middle of nowhere you can just cruise along for days and enjoy the incredible scenery without ever seeing a pothole. Same goes for the small islands like Salt Spring which is absolutely magical, and thanks to the extensive bird population has almost no bugs even in spring - coming from Ontario that alone is awesome :)

the botanical gardens just outside victoria are a MUST SEE honestly they are so amazing!!! also Lynn canyon park is great if your staying in Vancouver for any length of time and want to get outdoors a bit!

Port Renfrew is not the end of the highway at all! From Sooke, you can pass Renfrew and go to Lake Cowichan, Duncan, and then the rest of the island.

If you ever make it back here to Vancouver Island, I recomend Strathcona Park hiking starting at Raven Lodge Mount Washington. It's a must see. Unbelievable.
