This was beautiful. Thank you so much for recording it. I watched it all over the course of a few weeks. I love our beautiful country, and this really gives me the "call of the road". Safe travels out there!
This was an epic video! Scenery was amazing from start to finish. Was able to get through it in 6 days. For a while I was hoping for a RU-vidr to do an across Canada Timelapse similar to that of other long-distance Timelapse RU-vidrs such as Unclecoolie Productions and others, so it was very refreshing to see this. Quality was smooth and there were accurate descriptions of the cities passed by in the viewer. Only downside was that not all of this drive was able to be captured in the daytime and most of the downtowns of the cities were bypassed or omitted. Other than that, this was pretty good :)
So glad you enjoyed the video. Unclecoolie's videos have definitely inspired me a little bit. I totally agree that it'd be better if all of the drive was captured in the daytime, I just had no choice but to bypass some cities and also drive past sundown to reach my destination on time. But going forward, I'll be trying harder to improve on that! Thanks for the feedback and for watching.
I drove between Ottawa, ON and Vernon, BC four times in my life. Each trip was grand: I drove once with my girlfriend, twice alone, and last with my elderly father who flew out to BC after I broke up with my kind-hearted girlfriend. Every trip was unique, but my favourite was with Tamara. I felt free embracing the unknown. I didn’t even have a job waiting for me in BC. Everything was in the air, nothing was certain, and it was fucking glorious.
Im so hate on Google Maps. We actually can road trip through the Canada. There's so many road to Vancouver or Toronto. But in Maps we should get road trip through USA. That's so troublesome. We should have a passport, checking into security, and we arrived on Canada again. But we do the same thing again. Maps is little bit and entirely so SUCKS!!
pretty cool timelapse, i just really wish you didnt play the same 5 songs repeatedly throughout the entire 5 hour long video. it gets *really* annoying :/
Great work! I also drove between Vancouver and Toronto a couple times but never really attempted to record anything. The stretch between AB and MB is quite boring but I loved the scenery along Lake Superior. I just have a question, did you set your camera at 200ms or 500ms? I'll be making a trip from Toronto to Edmonton in winter and looking to have a timelapse footage too.
Very good video. What equipment do you use? My GoPro only last 45 mins before either overheating or battery dies. I do some videos in the rain (feckin' Irish weather) and people dont mind too much (wiper speed needs to be considered) Many thanks
Thank you so much for posting this video! One of my favorite shows on TV is Highway Thru Hell, and it was fascinating to see areas of the Coq that I recognized from the show! Thanks again and keep posting!
Thank you! I watched the entire video! I wanted to skip forward to watch the landscape change but I didn't. Mountains to prairies to hills and lakes and then my home city! This is perfect!
I am curious did you do this drive in an RV / Truck camper or van to make rests and stops easier? When I do this trip it would be hotels for me hehe great vid.
It's great to know that I have a viewer from Spain! I wish I recorded my Spain road trip from a few years ago, drove from Paris to Gibraltar and back. It was a gorgeous drive, really loved Spain. In this video I drove an old Nissan Xterra :)

Love your channel. Can you make a video on an evening drive in st Catherine’s ON if possible. I might move there in a couple of months and I’m really curious how it looks at night and dawn on a clear day.
I usually fill up every 400 km or so, or if I find really cheap gas then I fill up early. There's no need for extra tanks because there's gas stations everywhere on this route.
@@travelxoverland i meant to write jerry cans instead of gas tanks but I see you understood what I was trying to say, thank you for the response! I will start my journey soon cheers
There's a couple stretches on this route where you'll see signs on the highway warning you that there will be no gas stations for the next 100-150ish km. 1 is in BC and 1 in Ontario. But that's about it. Enjoy your trip!
This is awesome! I'd love to see Portage La Prairie to Prince Rupert (They Yellowhead Highway). That has been a dream of mine to take that trip! Also, Victoria to St. John's. Hello from Oregon, USA.
twelve times for me, between 4 to 6 days each trip .and loved them all, but the first time it took 28 days, that was the best one, September 1983. good video, thank you.
28 days! Wow that must've been one hell of a trip. Have you also been up towards the Yukon or east towards Newfoundland? Thinking of doing those drives some day
@@travelxoverland 28 days and broke down every day. but it was the 80s so it was a nice trip. ( a lot less traffic) and I have only been as far east as Kingston Ontario and as far north as Chetwynd BC.but have done the yellow head highway and highway #1.both are very nice rds.
Yep 12 days, I had to stop early some days due to rain. And even on the sunny days I could only travel during certain hours to avoid glare from the sun ruining the video. Thanks for watching!
