If Vanessa Bryant’s mother loses the case, I think she will probably declare bankruptcy so she doesn’t have to pay legal fees. The mother does not have a leg to stand on unless she can produce a contract of employment.

@@angiehier I’m guessing she never really had a good relationship with her mother which is why there is all this tension. If I had the means to help, my mother would not ever be financially strapped. In fact if I were in Vanessa’s shoes and my husband had passed away unexpectedly, I would have asked my mother to move in with me. True, but there are some children who just dump their kids at their grandparents house all day long so they can pocket babysitting fees and they do not even give the grandparents food money to cover their children's food bill, and that is not all, they even stop at their elderly parents house on their way home with their boyfriend so they can all eat there, so the grown daughter does not have to cook dinner and they do not even have the decency to wash the dishes where all the free loaders ate their meals.

Kobe didn't event thank his parents when he retired. He dated Vanessa while she was a minor. Vanessa didn't allow anyone from his family to speak at his televised funeral. They were not mentioned by her or in the program. That was an evil thing to do. Besides 600 million dollars was left to her. Maybe its me, but if I had that kind of money I would automatically give money to mom, so she would never have to worry about nothing. Kobe and Vanessa have very dysfunctional dynamics with their parents. So I am not sure if its all that simple. You don't see Tina Knowles suing Beyoncé. Hell even Micheal Jackson took care and thanked Joe and we know that was a rocky relationship. JS

He could’ve easily divorced her and she could’ve done the same thing and taken half his money. Kobe didn’t speak to his parents for a reason & was with Vanessa all of those years for a reason. He seemed like a smart man so I’m sure he knew what and why he was doing what he was doing. Vanessa gave him 4 daughters and a happy marriage but you’re implying that he should’ve listened to his parents and stayed away? Idk. The man seemed to live a pretty good life with his family.

Both vanessas mom and Kobe’s parents are money hungry lol I never said vanessa’s mom wasn’t. & nope, I don’t think he should’ve listened to his parents because he got a family with Vanessa and obviously loved her so I don’t see that as a mistake and I’m sure ass he’ll know Kobe didn’t either.. Kobe didn’t speak to his parents when they started selling his stuff. & I don’t know what went on with Vanessa and her mom but as you can see Vanessas mom is only after money. I would take care of my parents no matter what. They sacrificed for me for 18 yrs and I owe them the world.. Tyler Perry does it with his estranged father... I would still provide for both parents. Maybe not honor demands but surely retire my parents.. It's her choice though..

Vanessa even says that she has taken care of her daughters as much as she can throughout their lives. Even if the grandma had taken care at times, it’s very disrespectful to say that she took care of them so much that she deserves all that money. @Lucretia Browne Kobe's parents, sisters are in mourning. I have seen a few family photos his 2 sisters have shared on social media. I think there's 1 interview on his Dad speaking on his coaching position. Other than this I haven't seen or heard anything else. This would have to come from Vanessa, I can't imagine them bringing it up.

You have no idea what their relationship is like behind the scenes. Just because someone is family does not mean you are obligated to do anything for them, especially if they’ve been shitty towards you-mothers included. It has nothing to do with selfish. I one of the least selfish people, and love helping others, but I wouldn't do it for my mother. You said you would do it no matter what your mother did in the past. Well mine simply gave birth to me, but I was raised by a single father. I've seen her a few times in the last 30 yrs. She gave up her parental rights to my disabled sister. Barely would talk the many times I tried to connect with her. I highly doubt you would do much. Its truly all about the relationship. My grandmother was like my mother, and a parent that deserves wouldn't have had to go about it this way. Because I loved spoiling my dad, and he was quite mean, never said he loved me etc, verbal abuse, but simply because he was there...was all I needed. Think about it, Kobe had most of his ducks in a row, and she still wasnt included. Over the supposed 18yrs she worked 12hr days...they had plenty time to add her If they wanted to. People that love and have great or even just relationships with their parents have no problem taking care of their needs, without going through this. Also you mean to tell me she turned down being taken care of for the rest if her life, which is what she said she was promised and should be fine with, in lieu of a request for 5 million, a house and a Benz. That tells you off top she is in it for greed, also the timing couldnt be any worse. You can see her character in the writings.
My heart breaks for Vanessa; how can her own mom be putting her through all of this over money. She’s supposed to be supporting and grieving with her daughter, but no. She’s busy demanding money that was never hers to begin with.
