Tried and Tested by gawa's kitchen
Ingredients
4 Eggs
1+1/2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
2+1/2 cups Selfraising flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
butter icing
100g butter/margarine
2 cups icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 tablespoons milk
Bake @180 degrees Celsius
40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

Wslm shukran for your kind words,no I use different size baking dishes sometimes Pyrex dish if I bake for my family I just use the black oven tray that comes with most ovens for my vanilla cakes

Hello Gawa. I just recently found you and must say I love love your baking skills and recipes. I would like some help though...... That white measuring cup that you use for the flour and sugar .... what milliliters is it? My South African measuring cake cup is 250 ml. And the cup of oil .... do you measure it in a pyrex jug or also in the same cup as the flour? Thanks You!

I use the south African measuring cups of 250 ml so if I say 1 cup of flour it's that cup but if u have a scale it weights 125g for flour and 1 cup sugar is 200g if u use a scale but if u use the measuring cup it's the 250ml cup,I use measuring cup of 250ml for oil as well

Hope that helps,In all my videos u will always hear me say measurements in cups I use my south African cake measuring cups😊even for liquids the only thing I measure on kitchen scale is butter

I baked mine for 40 Min and was not done in the middle must I add more baking time

All ovens vary in heat so after the baking time insert a toothpick or cake skewer if it doesn't come out clean then continue baking,next time try using a lower temperature setting

Wslm that recipe was made in a 2litre Pyrex dish as for quantities for larger amounts I really can't say as I never made bigger slabs,when I sold fancies I would always just make multiple slabs and cut up.
