The grandmother probably let the father get away with everything most of his life. She is an enabler which usually comes with the territory. To blame the mother is ridiculous, she wasn't anywhere near the house. When you look at that tiny house, there is no way that someone could have gotten into that house without one of the 3 adults hearing them.
Three adults were in the house that night. And the police weren't capable of coming up with a plan to get a confession out of them? Not one of the three? The little girl wasn't worth the effort of the police? What a disappointment.
You remember it too ?? Now , after all these years they have a suspect pedofile from Germany who actually has been seen by witnesses and has been reported to investigators several times but in different ways and the investigators wasn’t picking it up because they were investigating the parents instead !! 😡 Poor parents ! I was working an extra shift, the only reason they were even out on that road at that time is because I picked up an extra shift and I asked my mom to pick him up from daycare. Had I just turned down the shift they'd both be alive today. My decision put them there. Trust me when I say we blame ourselves more than anyone ever could.

I have watched 12 minutes of this - so far - and they keep mentioning the fact that the father put her to bed and when he checked 13 PHUCKING HOURS LATER, she was missing.... Any parent - no matter how inept -wouldn't leave it for 13 effing hours before checking on an 18 month old toddler.
That’s immediately what I thought too, I’ve had two kids, two step kids that I raised from birth (don’t ask lol) abd multiple family members and friends kids and not one 18 month old I’ve ever encountered would sleep that long, they’d be up thirsty, hungry, need their hun changed, want a cuddle, playing, whatever, and even still, I’d be checking every couple hours
@@lornadoon845 A possibly drugged out or already possibly deceased toddler, unfortunately. That lil baby girl is gorgeous with those long lashes and stunning bright blue eyes. She'd be just entering her teenage years, I hope someone somewhere mans up and comes correct to bring peace to Ayla and her true family. Small town like that probably had the evidence they needed but were engulfed by pressure and nationwide attention that that possible small piece of evidence fell through the cracks (so to speak). Our community is still broken, our “small Maine community” loves large and this little girl took a spot in all of our hearts. His girlfriend and sister probably know too. Edit: to add real quick that I’m sure his mother really does believe he didn’t do anything and someone was watching them and took her but a good 99% of the rest of our community doesn’t believe that for a second.

In Summer's case, her two brothers were home. If the mother or grandmother were responsible for Summer's death, they couldn't have driven far away from the house to bury her and left the other two kids home alone for hours. The bodies can't be far from home and yet hundreds of searchers walking shoulder to shoulder so they don't miss one inch of ground, can't find a single clue. I just don't get it. In order to find Ayla, we, the public, would need to know a few things. Where were the searches? Why did they search in Oakland? Is that where Phoebe was that night when she lied at first and said she was at home? Did LE track cell phones? The neighbor reported Justin's truck running in the early morning of the 17th? So, do we have any better timeline? Like, 3:30 am to 8 am, or still a bigger timeline, 10 pm to 9 am? Has Justin collected any insurance money? Then you have the Rumors, Phoebe didn't live in the house, drug parties, a poker party, Ayla was left home alone when Justin took a run to Courtney's sisters place in Portland to pickup drugs, (drug bust). Does Karen small still work for DHHS/CPS after giving Phoebe Falsified paperwork, using LE to serve falsified paperwork? Why is insurance only on Ayla, not his other child? Are there any better interviews with Justin? The hospital can't give a better answer on Ayla's arm fracture? What about the Kennebec River? How far was it searched? Do doctors have proof of Ayla being lactose and tolerant? What would be going on if Ayla threw up that much blood from being lactose to tolerant? Would you seek medical or not? Is Auntie lying? Trista, what are some of the quotes that Justin would say to you? Besides, you won't see Ayla again, and this isn't Dr. Seuss? Did he say this at the movies? This ain't no home alone? Where any of them given lie detector test?

@@piecesoftheheart9231 Yeah, like how Trista was in the same town that night, she hasn't been ruled out as a suspect, or how about how she hasn't even taken a lie detector test yet, like she promised she was going to do. Terrible reporting, indeed.
@@taylorgreenwin Lie detector tests are unreliable. No one should ever take them. As far as being in the same town, her alibi checked out fully. But Justin never would talk to the media. No one is ruled out as a suspect, in a cold case.
@@piecesoftheheart9231 I'm aware of the reliability of the tests. The point is that this "report" is lying when it claims that both parents took one. Trista did not complete a test, nor did she take one and then release the results to the public like she promised to do years ago. The police haven't made any comments on the validity of her "alibi", so I don't know why you say that. By her own account, she was on her way to rehab that night and drove through Waterville, which means what I said is true, she was in the same town that night. The house was not "covered in blood". If you use a UV light and check any house, especially one with kids, you're likely to find evidence of blood. You know how many bloody noses I had as a kid? The stains I left behind would have people like you thinking there was a double murder in my bedroom. Justin did talk to the media. Not sure why you're saying he hasn't.

@Kara Houdyschell it's sad but yes more often than not, when a parent calls in the police to report their child missing that parent knows EXACTLY where their child is.
No one was charged because you need evidence and you need to be able to prove someone is guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt" in court. There's a reason no one has been ruled out as a suspect, not even the heroin addict mom who was in the same town that night. Gee, I wonder why.
Still until this day this case still unsolved... For me the father, sister, grandma and Girlfriend knows what happens to the baby girl. Police said there is no intruder's coming in the house... So the baby girl Teleport herself and Go missing even Grade school can solved this problem and knows who's to blame and that's the father side He had the baby Girl. And check Every door or window before putting baby's to bed. Lock 🔒 everything. Deep inside I'm crying how innocent baby she was going through this things.
So how can one apply the Asian parental advice when the father is responsible for the disappearance and probable death of the child? Her blood was found in the basement of the paternal grandmother's home.
An old friend of mine used to babysit baby Ayla, They told me things about her father that in my mind there is no doubt that he killed that baby. That girlfriend of his watched, I just believe it to be true, and yet she doesn’t ever come up.
I think the state should rip Courtney’s kids away from her, so she can see what its like to not have her child. Bet u almost anything she will give him up.
Like the NH little girl who is missing. The Dad, Gf, and Dads Mother know what happened to that baby. All these years, and they still won't cough up where they put their babies. I can't even stomach it. If I were the Mom..ide, I would have answers from all 3, even if it meant spending the rest of my life in prison. That was his baby.
I got a weird sense about the dads mum too. The mum helped her monster son cover his crime. I believe he is guilty too. But just because he’s shaking his head whilst saying that doesn’t mean he’s lying about what he’s saying here. Shaking of the head can mean many things , disbelief, ppl shake their head to emphasise etc or it could mean like you said disagreement with what he’s saying. Unless there’s a cluster at the same time it’s hard to say. He could’ve put her to bed and then she has gotten up and somethings happened to her and he’s shaking his head at this moment because he didn’t expect her to wake and can’t believe what happened after that. Head shaking though doesn’t always mean incongruent body language.
It was never said in this announcement. Were all their doors & windows locked? What friends of his came over? Was the girlfriend jealous? If the baby’s blood was found in the basement, why weren’t the 3 adults taken in & interrogated for hours? How could none of the 3 adults not check on her in 13hrs? This doesn’t make sense! Why didn’t the FBI do lie detector tests on everyone in the house & in both families? Authorities let us down again!
Asking all the wrong questions. The Dad did take a lie detector test, the mom has refused, even though she promised that she was going to and make the results public.

Why do our courts think placing a vulnerable toddler with their DEGENERATE FATHERS is safest for the child!!!?? He liiterally couldn't have her unless he lived with his own mom, but this should have been enough of a reason to not let him have custody of the toddler, the father shouldn't have been given custody, his mother should have gotten custody until mom was back on her feet!!!!! Children belong with their mothers or grandmothers!! DEGETERATE MEN CANT HANDLE CRYING TODDLERS! Toddlers 2, 3, and 4 years old, WILL DRIVE YOU INSANE if you dont know what you're doing! It takes alot of PATIENTS to RAISE a toddler! But DEGENERATES dont have patients, they cant even take care of themselves, so how the fuck is he going to take care of a toddler!! Our courts need to use their brains!!! They have some EXPLAINING to do!!! TO THE COURTS: STOP PLACING OUR VULNERABLE CHILDREN WITH DEGENERATE FATHERS!!! If the dad doesn't have his own home and job, he has no buisness taking care of a child on his own! Ugh, our COURTS have NO LOGICAL THINKING SKILLS, they literally, place our children in DANGER all the time and I'm sick of it!!!!!!!!!!
This has nothing to do with "degenerate fathers". It seems obvious that the mother was on drugs, so the child would go with the more stable parent. The mother didn't want custody of Ayla, and first gave her to her sister. Well, clearly the sister wasn't taking care of her either because she was taken away. Did the mother step up at that point? Nope!
I think he definitely knows who took that baby girl! Judging by both statements he made it sounds like he knows for sure someone took her and who it is. When he says "I know you think you are doing what is best for her" when talking to the supposed person that abducted her, it sounds like maybe a family member or friend knew both parents weren't good enough to take care of the baby so they took her. And when he says again to the reporter that it was someone he did know that took her, you can tell in his voice he is telling the truth. Maybe he sold her or just gave her away because he knew he couldn't take care of her and her mother couldn't either at the time. Regardless that man knows 100% where his daughter is. Anyone that actually gave a shit about their child would of been visibly upset and anxious trying to find them every minute of every day. He did not act sad or moved by it at all.
Don't ALL parents check on their young children after they are put to bed & before the parents go to sleep ???......... NOT THIS FATHER DURING 13 HOURS !!!!!!!
That father knows something happened to that child. but I'm sure the mom and girlfriend helped. Any Grandparent that loves their grandchild would be pressing their child.
And you don't check on your toddler for 13 freaking hours!!! Very questionable!!!! When my kids were toddlers I checked on them regularly every single night!!!!
That is right. The mom wasn't the one with the child at the time! The dad was a known abuser and the blood in the basement of his house tells what he did to her!

The police has been saying for several years "Nothing points towards an abduction and the child is most likely dead, with the date of death being the day she was reported missing" So the picture is very clear, the ones in that house at that time are responsible. How are they not in prison. I'm furious. I can't imagine how that must feel for the mother and her family. At this point take the police to court as well. What are they doing. Why wait?
Police found Ayla's VOMIT and small traces of HER blood in MULTIPLE places in that house. Add that to the fighting for custody usually adds up with what poor Ayla obviously went through. He [they] absolutely should have been charged forever ago. I'm guessing had the father been arrested, due to all that evidence, he would have spilled the beans if offered a deal. He'll never admit to it now given the police let him [them] fly.
The mom is a little off in my opinion.. in the television interview she stated that her ex was the last one to see the baby alive as if she already deemed her deceased, I would like to know the details of when the baby was taken away from her moms sister by child protective services and why no one in her family stepped up to take care of her. It’s just curious… I don’t know what happened it’s a mystery. Maybe she was abducted by someone who new her because they sure didn’t have the evidence to show he harmed her in any way or maybe someone in the house harmed her. Maybe someday the truth will come out.
There is zero evidence her mother did anything to her. She had drug issues, which is why she did the responsible thing at the time and gave the baby to her ex until she could get back on her feet. Why would one of her other relatives take Ayla when Ayla’s father was available? In the interview she also states how she had been trying to call her ex over and over and he wouldn’t take her calls. Why would he not want to speak with her to find their daughter? There are plenty of suspicious things about the father, but the mother just wants to know what happened to her daughter.

I can't imagine how that father or anyone in that house could leave a child alone for 13 hours. Something happened and he didn't think he would be believed or something close to that and they buried her somewhere. The father might not have done anything but one of them knows who did or where she is at the very least. Good luck to this mother for making good choices and for still fighting for her daughter.
13 hrs is enough time to hop a border, state to state or depending on the area, a country to country border. China and Russia have ships above Canada. What other traffic sits above Canada, Iceland, Greenland, Carribean, etc. P.S. what country would have a harvest of children? Anyone know?

Mother tried to do the best thing while attending her personal problems by giving Ayla to her sister. Logically one she knew loved Ayla & vice versa. It's not clear if father contested he take child. But CPS up-ended that arrangement & took child to father & his girlfriend. It's a critical professional oversight CPS repeatedly & dangerously automatically allocate care just beteen the parents than 'case by case' basis. It's not like she's a teenager she's two. My son will be 6 in April if I even hear him move I check on him. That man is a sorry excuse if there were 3 adults in that house or even 2 adults in some kids. Something is not right here and I feel like the police. Know what happened or have an idea because they're acting like these people did nothing wrong and they have no idea if they did or not
@@annabellebeckwith9283 I think the OP just made that up. That would be odd. And even if it were a Gerber baby policy, at most it'll be what 5 or 10K? I hope it wasn't done for money!!!!
Why is the father given so much leeway? No polygraph? No question about how Ayla's blood got in the basement? No questions asked about the lack of evidence of a break in? No interrogation of Justin, his mom or his girlfriend? No searching of the grounds around their home? No asking neighbors if they saw or heard anything? No searching of cars or swabs on the cars? Nothing? It seems so odd that not a whole lot has been done on this murder. This is a CHILD, A TODDLER AND THE POLICE HAVE DONE A CRUMMY JOB OF INVESTIGATING HER DEATH. Alya's bood found in the basement is very important. They didn't even ask what these people were wearing. Did they do laundry? Nothing. Frustrating. 🤔
I always checked on my kids. My heart goes out to the little girl mom’s family. That was always one of my fear that one of my kids would go missing. I really do hope that there will be closure soon. And yeah I do believe that the other 3 knows what happened to her. They don’t want to go to jail.
Mother had some personal issues? Not good enough. As mothers we don't get any time off for ourselves, after bringing a child into the world it is our duty to put that child first and BE PRESENT. If parents prove to be malfunctioning in the care of their child then it should not be passed around to anyone in the family. Father put her to bed then checked 12 hours later. That's just not feasible, toddlers wake in the night. People can get very angry when they have their sleep disturbed, especially if they don't have the nurturing instincts of a mother.
Oh ya….my sons “sperm donor” used to get irate when my son disturbed his sleep when he was little Ayla’s age. His “father” would want to sleep literally all day and get angry at my son for disturbing him in anyway. I have no doubt that if I wasn’t there to intervene, he would of hurt my son at some point. It wasn’t just that, he would be so easy to go off if my son didn’t do what he thought my son should be doing. I ended up kicking him out because of his behavior and told him he wasn’t allowed to have unsupervised visits with him unless he took me to court. He never took me to court or seen his son again. My son is an adult now and still never met him. Shows how much he truly cared 🙄
@@astridlove2327 Yes I just saw a terrible case on here, 2 in fact where the male in the family was left in charge by the mother & these mothers failed to protect their children. My son dotes on his daughter and both parents share responsibilities. However, I did warn my daughter in law that men rarely have the patience of mothers & also we women usually have a natural 'ear' for our babies & wake up then go back to sleep easily. Men don't have these hormonal safety valves in my experience but neither do some women when they drink or smoke substances which interfere with natural reactions. While having my son I'd been having braxton hicks (contractions) every five minutes for days before the birth & I my body changed in a way spectacular to me. I was able to sleep between these contractions & feel rested. This continued after the birth & I was up to breastfeed then asleep again immediately. This is not going to happen for most men or women who drink alcohol smoke weed before bed. People mess up their own natural systems. You should feel proud for protecting your child against his horrible father. I sent my X packing because he smacked my parrot on his beak. We must protect those we bring into the world, those we accept into our care too. There's just not enough education for mothers in my opinion on how to keep their body on form for motherhood. Some unbelievable cases ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1x6n6Zad7q0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ydBTpL3Cbj8.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ss6RZ36tRNI.html
@@FLOSSYTREADWELL yes it is very hard to hear about this cases. I was not going to have my son be another one of these innocent children who were harmed by their own parent or a parents partner. I have to say though that I wouldn’t consider this being the case for all men. I was very particular after leaving my sons father. I wanted to make sure that if I was going to date again, I would tread carefully about who I let in our lives. I actually dated someone who had been my best friend for years and years. Thinking he would be a great fit. He got short with my son once and that’s all it took lol I sent him packing. It’s like if I am not going to let his own father treat him bad I sure as hell am not going to allow another man to mistreat him either. Ultimately, it took a couple years for me to really be serious about dating and even introduce my son to anyone but I found the love of our lives and we have been together 14 years now. He’s been the only dad my son knows and he has treated my son as his own since day once. We also had 2 girls together and he is an AMAZING dad. He is so hands on witn all 3 of them and when I would get exhausted when they were babies, even with him working 70 plus hours a week, he would get up with them when I just couldn’t take anymore. I was even a stay at home mom and he never once complained about having to step in and help out. I do recognize how extremely blessed I am to have someone as special as him for the father to all of my kids. I am sure he would say the same about me 😊 I am so grateful but I know this is not as easy to find.
Bullshit.. I have a 3 year old and my eyes are never off her.. all night I have a baby cam I look at anf constantly go in her room while she's asleep to cover her legs with a blanket... and stop telling the police to do their job cause if YOU did YOUR JOB as A MOM this wouldn't be happening... how dare you
What you are doing isn't good either. People seem to have forgotten what normal parenting looks like. Watching your 3yo over camera in their sleep is insane.
I well never forget this story. I was celebrating my 1 year Olds 1st birthday the days she went missing. My daughter is 12 now. I'm praying for justice for Ayla❤
Enjoy Your Babies they will always be babies to You XxxxxMake Beautiful Memories with Ayla in mind sometimes. Don’t upset yourself for someone whom could not keep their Hands to Themself.
