This is Vans. Established 1966.
Skateboarding has always been in a perpetual state of progression which means the Berrics must also be in a perpetual state of creating progressive content if we have any chance of surviving this cyclone of confusion and heartbreak called the world. With new companies popping up every month, other companies infiltrating the space and old companies going out of business, there are THE companies that have continually influenced the culture of skateboarding, inside and out. They've weathered every storm and stomped their own footprint into the concrete jungle of skateboarding history. They are the established brands without being the Establishment. This is Vans. Every skater has skated vans shoes at one point, absolutely right. I still remember my first pair, Vans Heenan, even though I was completely in love with the Willie Santos I... Good times!

First pair of Vans I had were the La Cripta Dos, I tore them to dust basically lol. They were a half size small so I wore thin socks and skated them. I think my Mom threw them out, but I still loved them :D I like how Vans have kept things OG after that 90's fad. Massive respect for Van Doren

+TheBerrics my fist pair of Vans Av Eras. i wore them until half the toecap on my right foot was gone and a quarter of the sole wore away in that area. they were just amazing. the next pair were the original vulc Rowley Pro which were so amazing to me, I wish you still made them. the 3rd pair were original Old Skools. now since you have Duracap in the Pro edition shoes, Im thinkin of goin back to where it all started for me, and get a pair of Era pros.

speaking of fat shoes, i hope they make the rowley pro lite with the waffle cup with thicker suede with more padding, that would the ideal shoe for me. i wish that would happen, they need to use the waffle cup to their advantage more, that shits amazing.

But there are so many close minded skaters anymore that if you do anything remotely outside the box they judge like there is no tomorrow. Thank God the old guys are still skateboarding and are still influencing, but I feel like with the current generations attitude with skateboard and how serious they take it instead of doing it to be fun, it's just going to fully turn into a jock sport.

Love the shoes,but i demolish them in one week of sk8in.Gr8 for walking,sucks for sk8in.that's just my experience with vans.

likfrikbik You're probably buying the ones that arent for skating.. The regular authentic with the basic stitching is not for skating.. try skating a pair of half cabs & demolishing them in one week & tell me how it works out. Ive had the same half cabs for like 4 months before i even thought i probably need new skate kicks..

Is kinda weird that Vans is owned by VF corporation. The same company that owns brands like Timberland,The North Face,Reef,Nautica,Eastpak and many more...

And as skateboarding now is back at its original look, the next step should be to realise, that nose and tail are two different things. And if that happens, you'll finally know what true style is. Or do you think surfing would still be surfing if they went to swap a nose for a tail? Or to get it even more straight, would you swap your head for an ass?
