jade... the people dancing in the costumes are like Oracle mediums... channeling the divine spirits, who possess their body-minds... they color and dress in those glorious costumes in honour of the devatas or the demi-god spirits who will possess their physical self, dance, scream, shout and resolve many of the problems that the devotees present ask the devatas, answered orally through these mediums... it's a thousands of year old tradition that's alive in 2022 in southern part of India

This happens every day in parts of the costal Karnataka, Kerala and Maharastra of India. I am Indian from coastal Karnataka where the devine story gave birth to devotional movie Kanthara. This devotiona song is from movie Kanthara. Everytime I hear this song 'Varaha Rupam' my eyes becomes wet, content and music of this song touched my heart and soul. For others this is a movie. But for we native coastal Karnataka residents this is lifeline of our life. Our soul revoles arround 'BHOTHA KOLA'. We cannot imagine a life without 'Bhutha Kola'. This song sequence is all about worshipping demigod. We believe we protected by these demigods. The person with make up represents the demigod and we follow certain rituals to worship demigod. May this demigod bring peace and prosperity to entire humanity.

Visit Mangalore during summer time. They actually walk through burning coal, plays with fire and all. Visiting the place and seeing in person you will have totally different experience than virtual or Theater mode. However salute to Rishab Shetty for making such a great effort to bring this to Theaters worldwide! Ideally April to May time is best for seeing this kind of rituals, beliefs in Mangalore.

The song is a copy of Navarasam by Thaikudam bridge..eventhough the makers of varaha roopam claims that the resemblance is due to the Raaga used ,it's not true..the whole composition is a copy.even the theme of the visual itself is copied

The actual truth and history behind this Varaha roopam is just copied imitate of the devine lord Vishnu One of avathata (face). But the actual meanings of that which has showed in movie is the story behind is this 👇 According to Hindu culture lord Shiva ( the destroyer) he has no Begin nor end. Once his wife lord Parvati has keeping a pig {just go to search varaha roopam of Vishnu story} Once that pig came to earth and destroyed all crops which has grown by farmers it means that much hunger he was after seeing this people prayed to God Shiva. He took an action on it and gave power that he must be in the earth and solve the problem of people's and give the punishment if they did the wrong.
