Those solid tires look pretty....solid! I'll be interested to see how they do for ride quality. Varla does a great job including those extra tidbits and parts, Kudos to Varla and to Tim!
What throttle do you like Tim, finger or thumb throttle downward or thumb throttle like quads? ( ATV style) And what could be a benefit to the style of throttle?
Hey man! I live in Vancouver. I'm looking at this scooter, but I see they don't ship to Canada....? How did you get this one? Also looking at the evolv tour 2.0 or maybe the kingsong n10 plus. I'm 275lb and tall. Needing something for my size. Short trips. Some small hills.
Great question :) Sadly I haven't tried the Kingsong n10+ yet or the Evolv Tour. To help however, you gave me your size...do you have a spot at street level to store and charge a scooter? I wondering if you have lots of stairs to carry it up and down before I recommend a scooter for you :) Cheers from VanIsle :) Tim
@@TimsElectric I live on the ground floor. More so just concerned about price. Can't spend more than about $1500cad. I saw you try the kingsong recently, not the n10plus but still. Any recommendations?
really good question...I liked the Kingsong...also the Rhino (Ride the Glide sells these on the island)...You might find a Zero 10 could work...10" tires...smooth, 1000 watt motor...should be adequate for your needs...at the price point your looking at...probably about the best you can get...or try reaching out to Varla and see if they can ship to Canada..they send me demos as people that watch my channel are all over the world, mainly in the US but I think they would do well here in Canada....I'm loving the Pegasus as it has dual motors (which I find better for a big guy) and solid tires (again for bigger guys can be really helpful ...fewer flat tires which suck)...another option could be a lightly used scooter? Like a Zero 8 or Mantis Pro? You might find a good deal on one of those ...but the Zero 10 should make it up some less steep hills :) Hope this helps :) Cheers
looking forward to the full review. Something I always wonder is price of replacement tires since I think if everything works properly that will be one of the first things that needs replaced besides brake pads maybe.
@@TimsElectric I think those are the most trustworthy solid tires on a scooter so far since they are so wide. I have seen some people say the easiest way is to just cut them off. Since those are so beefy maybe you could engrave a new pattern once they are worn down before you had to replace them.
