I just got one of these recently. About 3 weeks ago. I flipping love it!!! I bought mine because I have a bad back that I recently injured at work. I'm an active person as well, and as of late merely walking causes a lot of pain to my tailbone as my upper body feels it's bouncing on my hip area whenever I walk. So in order to get out in public and be able to walk around again in the parks and stuff I purchased a wireless scooter The Pegasus. After loosening the rear suspension a tad bit. The ride has become beautiful even for my damaged back. I recommend the Varla Pegasus for anybody. This does include people in my position. Now when I was a kid I used to ride GT and haro scooters. As we used to do tricks and backflips on them. So with me this was a familiar type of transportation. I didn't have much of a learning curve on it. Also the steering dampening system on the far lepegasus is super ideal. Especially for beginner scooter riders. It feels weird and wonky at first. But when you pick up speed it becomes something you realize as of huge benefit. And allows you to focus more on learning to control the machine, than your fear of falling. Also. Just a postscript for you. These scooters now come with nine and a half inch tubeless pneumatic tires. These tires are puncture proof like the originals. But I would say about four times softer than the originals. If you can. You would benefit by upgrading to the larger wheels for the Varla. It is a DREAM ride!!!

Hi Jake, I actually don't remember if I did a speed test on the Pegasus...I typically don't.. I typically put the Pegasus in Level 2 speed and it seems to be happy around 20 MPh 32KPH In level 3 it would be faster....I'm guessing 25 or more without issue especially because you're lighter than I am (I'm 255lbs and 6') I love it ...and reach for it often..in practice I reach for it more than the Eagle One....the range and speed is higher of course on the Eagle One but if I'm not going too far then I grab the Pegasus...no flats :)

Great review Mr. West, I am very interested in buying this scooter, I'm a big fan of solid tires, although the comfort level may be compromised but I'm ok with that. I think the pros outweighs cons in terms of solid vs pneumatic tires. No need to check air pressure, (weekly) no need to buy pressure gauge, inter tubes, tires, slim, or air pump, and one has the peace of mind of not getting a flat. I have a Qeiwa Q Mini solid tires which I bought about two years ago and I love it. I got over 5,000 miles on it, very dependable and reliable, and I've done nothing to it, except a new controller and trigger throttle, that's it. I like what I see in this Varla, have they giving you any discount codes for us to use?

@@TimsElectric I was going to ask this very thing as Mr. Pham, so I'll pile on here. I am looking at one of these as well and I am just down south from you in Seattle Area so wet pavement and water resistance would be a concern. I plan to enhance the H2O protection but would like to hear your evaluation of that and comparison of the tires for grip vs ride on both paved and gravel roads maybe since one is Pneumatic and one is solid/wide. Thank you so much for your relatable positive reviewing style. I have been binging on your videos over the last week so hopefully you see a pop in numbers ;).

If they made these heavier scooters to fold up like a hand truck, so you could wheel is around on one wheel while walking with it instead of carrying it , that would be ideal, I think, but maybe you can roll it around in the unlocked position and just not fold it down until you get all the way to where your going.
