It was produced at the time by Chesbourgh Ponds inc. The very same outfit that produced Groom and Clean. They both were sold off to Suave, and Suave discontinued Vasiline Hair Tonic.
Ann Healey I certainly get a lot of comments but I've never just been stopped I've had people come over to me if I'm sitting in a restaurant or something
There is a 1956 photo of Elvis and and a glass (now vintage) bottle of "Vaseline Hair Tonic" along side (on a stand) the bathroom cabinet mirror that he's seen primping in front of. Where all of these rumors (that he used "BLACK & WHITE" for part of his hair and "butch wax" for the other)came from? I have no idea. It's complete nonsense, in my opinion. Sources have indicated that he used "ROYAL CROWN HAIR DRESSING" from 1953 to 1955, as a teenager... and, then switching to applying "VASELINE HAIR TONIC", to his hair in 1956, to allow a more loose but styled "pompadour". 👍👍😎
It's best if you use hair tonic on dry hair. Because if you use it on wet or maybe on damp hair, then the water in your hair might not allow the hair tonic to penetrate into your scalp.
Say, Joseph? May you review Jeris Hair Tonic and Osage Rub? Osage Rub is both a hair tonic and an after-shave for your face. Jeris Hair Tonic and Osage Rub is made by Clubman.
Sagar Koirala it's probably too light a hold for you and your hair looks wavy from your picture so it's making them more noticeable Some products don't always work well for all hair types
True, however designed for a baby whare as a man would rather smell like a man with a much more masculine scent, than with a product that is ment more for a little baby. And yes, you are quite right as both are mineral oil with a fragrance, however given a choice between the two, I would rather have a masculine scent.
londo0 lately I've been using Brylcreem I had a lot chopped off recently and I've found Brylcreem to be decent even when I'm working - I'm an electrician so it's pretty physical It does move obviously but it doesn't end up like a big greasy mess in my face
@@joeavo6556 This is why you only use it sparingly number one like the instructions encourage you to do with their sell line, a little dab will do ya. And with every other day hair washings and once a week application of your Brylcream, will work wonders for your hair, and you won't end up with it on your face as you put it, a greesy mess.
Mr Cat I've never used them personally I'd never use the superior one as I've heard bad things about it related to hair loss from the way it clogs your scalp the super light I know is meant to be really good
thank you John Presley and Joseph Avo for telling me about the Murray's pomade. I'll keep this in mind when I buy another Murray's(sorry for the late response
Lightning Wrecker it really depends on the hold of the products because a heavy product would more likely be a little tough to comb through which would make your hair feel stiff Whereas a light product would be very easy even with a build up of product
Lightning Wrecker it doesn't get stiff for my it sort of just gives me a bit of resistance when I comb my hair the next day That's perfectly normal though Nothing to worry about mate
Ji Jo it feels a little greasy in your hands but after you put it in your hair it's not greasy or wet at all It does give good shine to your hair though
Nawshad Nawshad I never said it was a remedy for hair loss If I said hair growth I mean that for those people with hair it will condition the hair and scalp to stimulate healthy hair, which helps hair grow faster and healthier. Not to stimulate dead hair follicles So don't accuse me of trying to make petting this is a cure for baldness
