I’m diagnosed with vasovagal syncope because I’ve started fainting sometimes vomiting everyday during lockdown but me drinking lots of water and taking deep breathe really helped me with my fainting. I’m keeping my chronic condition permanently no cures for me anymore. I can handle it myself

This happened to me yesterday morning. I had woken up to my son crying and went to get him some milk for my wife. After I gave her the milk I noticed I just felt super tired and my legs were crazy weak and just felt off. I knew this feeling though because it had happen to me before and I prepared myself just in case. I sat on our bathroom toilet and when I stood up my vision started going black and I saw black dots everywhere as I started stepping into our bedroom it got worse and I started sweating heavily and my heart beat was very fast. I went close to the bed and just threw myself there and nearly passed out but caught myself again and quickly grabbed a blood pressure monitor I keep in my nightstand I don’t even remember the numbers but all I know is my blood pressure had to be crazy low. Went to the ER they did EKGs and they came out fine with also X-rays scans they came out good. Blood tests were fine as well. They ended up giving me IV fluids and it helped. Next day I’m at work now and I can say I feel better just very anxious because of it and still a bit dizzy as well overall though drink your water please!

happened to me at Walmart, passed out and hit my head and was out cold, woke up in the back of an ambulance, doctors said it was from dehydration, before passing out i felt like my body was being jolted or shocked in my upper torso, still not sure what that was. thanks for telling your story.

I came here because I have a sore throat and a sinus infection, and randomly passed out yesterday. ER nurse said I was super dehydrated and couldn’t get an IV. I’m so scared and have no idea what’s going on with my body.

I hope you feel better really soon!!! Dehydration is wierd and has crazy symptoms. Hopefully you feel more like your normal as your body gets more fluids. I'll be praying for you! I would love updates to know how you're progressing.

@@homesteadingatkookergehoft8131 hello. My father experienced this twice. One time we admitted him to the family doctor hospital they said it was because he travelled in sun and did lot of work. Causing dehydration. Now its the second time. He is unable to get up from bed because he says if he gets up he feels bit dizzy and his head spins. What are the suggestions? Did you experience the same? Unable to get up from the bed etc. And also he is passing urine a lot... Please suggest something. Thank you. 🙏

If you wouldn't mind sharing, what causes yours to flare and make you pass out? After talking with a lot of doctors, and honestly a couple of shrinks, they came to a frightening conclusion about why mine bothers me. I had been running a company in a poor, impoverished part of the south and in 2016 when things started to get heated politically, I had some crazy altercations with employees and terminated employees as they saw me as the bad guy being a northern liberal. After a pair of attempted murders and an attempted mass shooting at my workplace, I started developing this problem. While they say essentially PTSD is a part of it, they have actually identified my trigger as...well...Trump. Now I know people can have this problem with things like blood or doctors, but I was wondering if anyone with this problem has it flared up by something societal like that? Or even, does anyone have it flare from specific PTDS triggers and memories? I had once heard a case of someone who had it flare when they endured extreme physical pain, and rather than feeling the pain and going through it, they would just pass out. I am always wanting to learn and listen from people with this condition even if it is not directly related, please feel free to share.

Mine flares up with severe cramping associated with diarrhea specific to food poisoning and GI viruses.

@@homesteadingatkookergehoft8131 Sorry to ask for specifics on such a personal thing, but if you don't mind clarifying; Are you saying you first experience intestinal discomfort followed by uncomfortable bowel movements, that then cause your vasovagal to flare and make you pass out? I was diagnosed with Crohn's long before Vasovagal, and I did hear from several sources that actually spending to much time pushing and straining on the toilet can cause some issues with vasovagal and blood pressure.

@@rupertmurdoch4750 Usually it was during very liquidy diarrhea expulsion that I would vasovagal. The last time that led to the hospital visit in this video, I had sudden and intense cramping, and immediately experienced repeated vasovagal experiences until I could get to a bathroom to relieve myself of the liquid BM. The recurrence was because I had to hold it in while experiencing intense abdominal cramping. Pushing and straining is not a cause of my Vasovagal experiences.

You're lucky it wasn't much worse. And you were driving too, while you were ill. You took only one day off work when just half a day earlier you had a FEVER. You help no one when you push yourself like you are supposed to be Super Woman, and you also put everyone in your workplace at risk of a potentially dangerous illness (you did not even know how serious your illness might have been; just "staying away" from you by a few feet does not protect people, not if you were all breathing the same air. You should have stayed home both days, Thurs and Fri and not returned to work until you had been symptom free, especially fever free, for at least a day, ideally two days. When you are sick aside from adequate rest, you need to keep plenty of fluids in your body. Every physician knows this, and every Mom should as well. Thank goodness you were not in a wreck and that no one else got hurt while you were driving in such a state of poor health.

Excuse you. When this happened years ago, I wasn't dangerously ill until literally less than a minute before I started having the vasovagal syncope; that's how suddenly and violently it hit. I pulled over as soon as I realized I was a danger to other drivers and as soon as the road allowed. I agree I didn't handle the situation the best because I should have taken care of myself better, which is what I was admitting to in the video. The ordeal was a blessing from God, however, because it gave a quick diagnosis to a condition I had been experiencing for a few years at that point, without having to spend tons of $ seeing specialist after specialist to have everything under the sun ruled out before finally being diagnosed or coming to a conclusion of "it's unclear." I'm also glad other people have been made aware of vasovagal syncope, or have found some support, by means of this video. I'll thank you to send your shaming elsewhere, because I'm a fallible human, and your comments are just plain mean and rude.
