These are my new boots for 2022. I wanted light, waterproof, good traction and support and I found a winner in these boots! 1/2 size up for the boots, go with your size for the trail runner they make in this.

My wife has had a pair for a year or so and really like them. After a year, they lost a lot of cushion. Although not really worn out, we replaced them with another pair of the same bought on a close out price. Also, they don't give you the same structural integrity of a boot with a shank that you might want for rocky conditions or scrambling.

Thanks for your comment. I have done about two years on one pair, and I am on a new pair this season. I have not worn out the other ones yet, just less tread now so I just use them for day hikes and car camps. I think a lot depends on your foot structure and what you need and how heavy your loads are. For UL backpacking, they are more than enough. Carrying 50 lbs? Look at something like the St. Elias boot from Vasque. Thanks for watching my review! Have a great week!

Great review and I love that the sole is even. Waterproof can be awesome for certain hikes. I hear ya on going up on.size...the front can be tight on some shoes. I like a roomy toebox 👍

Thank you so much! The last on these is pretty narrow. I’ve had all three versions of the Breeze boot by Vasque. These are light years ahead on the tech, fit, and support. Goretex is not a deal breaker for me in the Alpine because temps don’t get too hot. With a merino sock they wick pretty good. I was worried they would have a more narrow toe box but was surprised with the room in them. I’m excited to get out in them backpacking!

I have the women's version which is (I think) about 1.3 lbs. They're wonderfully comfortable, and I haven't had a fall since I began wearing them on the trail - which is saying something, since I'm prone to stumbles and falls (as my poor knees can attest.) Now, I can keep up with my 45 year old son. Yay!

That is wonderful! I completed the Uinta Highline Trail in mine in this video. This footwear did over 200 miles on trail this year! Well executed design, and they are, as you put it, are very stable on trail. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you! I really like how this sole feels as you hike and gain elevation. Your foot feels so stable as you power forward with each step. I’ve had every single Breeze boot from Vasque but I think this one is by far the best and lightest yet!

Great review! I'm sure they will work out well for you. I used a similar boot for the HL the first time mostly due to the wet and snowy trail. I used the Salomon Quest 4D. I wanted to have a mid height boot for that. The 2nd time I just used a hiking shoe. Dryer trail and lighter but less support for the ankle. I had great success both times. I will most likely use my hiking shoes again this year. I'll stick with my Targhee III's again. Have a great day, Christian.

Thank you so much! I’ve had all iterations of the Breeze boot from Vasque. The last two years of videos on here I am wear the Breeze III. I am a supinator when I walk with a pack on so trail runners are not an option for me. But these are the weight of Altra’s but give the performance of a mid. The no heel rise is amazing for off trail and even steep terrain like I was on climbing the Parleys Overlook a couple of weeks ago. So far I’m loving them. Really revolutionary concept in footwear!

Did you have to size up? I’ve had three generations of Breeze footwear but this is the first one that did not run true to size. I’m excited to give them a whirl on the Highline this summer.
