The guy singing the anthem is Mehran Modiri, A very famous and popular Iranian Actor, he was recently banned from leaving the country due to supporting the freedom movement, he was also banned from participating any new national TV programs, he is under a lot of pressure by the government, although many people actually hate him for participating in national TV in the first place ( since the National TV in Iran is literally a propaganda machine) I believe the guy to have good intentions and really care for his people, we Iranians are going through a rough time, thank you Ingen for posting this beautiful anthem.
He deserved it the so called “freedom movement” doesn’t advocate freedom just enslavement to the West and their ideals and all government run TV all over the world is there to promote the government that’s not something unique or new but people should hate him for being immoral and a Western apologist more than anything else although I wouldn’t expect someone like you to have the brain power to understand something like that

Very good version of this song! Vatanam is a very important song in Iran. I believe you can still find old recording of the anthem even from 1906. It was created under the Persian emperor Naser al-Din Shah which was the emperor of Iran under the Qajar dynasty. He actually wanted to reform and modernise Iran like some of the other Qajar Emperors and princes wanted (like Abbas Mirza) but lost interest later and killed Amir Kabir who was the chancellor of Iran and the one who nearly single-handedly modernised Iran. The lion and sun flag is the real flag of Iran. However, there are some variants with crowns on top, in this case, it's the Qajar "Kiyani" crown. There are later variants with the Pahlavi crown that are common in protests against the Mullahs regime outside of Iran (the flag is illegal inside the country). It'll soon be flag of Iran once again...

fun fact: The Persian lyrics of this anthem are added after collapse of the Qajar Empire and establishment of the Pahlavi State. Before that, there is no lyrics but just the melody.
