In this video I take a look at the Atom A5 monitor from Vaxis and run through all of the features available. As well as being a 5.5” monitor this device has the ability to transmit and receive wireless video signals as well as record HD video. I show in detail all the features this monitor offers as well as talking about my thoughts on it and who it might be a good fit for.

Thanks for the comprehensive review. Have been looking for a remote option. Would be great if they offered a less costly, monitor-less transmitter to pair with their remote monitor. Could certainly see using it with a tablet to pull focus. How was the latency?

Hi Micheal. Yes it would be good to be able to get just the transmitter element from the ATOM 500. Latency was okay for monitoring and pulling focus, the only time it was tough was when you could hear the source audio and that coming through the monitor as even the slightest delay causes an echo effect which is off putting. Obviously lower latency can be achieved with the higher end kit, but it's a lot more money.
