What a great documentary. Just by watching it I learned a lot, but I wish there were English subtitles.

I'm reading "Hõbevalge" right now and a friend recommended this documentary to me. It was very enlightening - especially listening how the languages gradually started sounding more and more like estonian. Don't get me wrong, they were all beautiful, but...I have never heard the Karjala language before. I never realized how pretty it sounds.

One way ticket to Finno-Ugric people. Thank you very much for uploading! Karelians language is very similar to Finnish or Estonian.

So tragic that the Uralic languages and other language groups of the various First Russians are disappearing!

It's really amazing how different and diverse the Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian people's languages and lifestyles are from their cousins in Russia. And they still have their origins in common.
