Ingredients:
Veg Hakka Noodles - 1 packet
Cooking Oil - 2 tsp
Chopped Ginger Garlic - 1 tbsp
Chopped Green Chillies - 2
Sliced Onion - 1 small
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Sliced Capsicum - few pieces
Sliced Carrot - few pieces
Sliced Cabbage - 1/4 cup
Spring Onion Greens - few pieces
Red Chilli Sauce - 1 tbsp
Dark Soya Sauce - 1.5 tsp
Green Chilli Sauce - 1 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup - 2 tbsp
White Vinegar - 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chopped Spring Onion Greens - for garnish
Preparation:
To cook the noodles, boil water in a big vessel. Add some salt and oil. Add in the noddles and cook well until done.
Strain the water and run some cold water over the noodles to stop further cooking.
Drizzle some oil all over so that the noodles do not stick to each other.
To prepare the chowmein, heat some oil in a pan or a wok.
To this add chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
Add sliced onion, some salt and saute until the onions turn soft.
Add in the vegetables and saute until they turn soft. Do not overcook it, We need to retain the crunchiness of these vegetables.
Next add all of the sauces and mix well. Also add in black pepper powder and mix it.
Add the cooked noodles to this and mix well.
Finally garnish with chopped spring onion greens.
Easy and tasty Veg Chowmein is ready to be served. Serve hot along with some tomato ketchup.
