It's here! Finally veganized ~ The Brown Derby Cake from my bakery days! This cake was one of the top sellers when I owned my bakery from 2005 through 2015.
I've recreated it a couple times here on RU-vid and now it is veganized for the best rendition of this cake ever!

Hey Gretchen. I lived in Northern New Jersey and this has been my favorite cake since 16 y/o. My girlfriends parents owned a bakery . I would celebrate 🎉my birthday with this cake. You are absolutely right you can definitely eat this entire cake it’s like a Hostess devil dog cake with fruit❤

Haha, it's essentially a maulwurfkuchen. Which is German for Mole Cake, because it's a mole pile. :)

Wow, what a cake, it looks very naughty but delicious. I'd add a little rum/kirsch to the cherries to make it really decadent.

Om my my my… yep, I could definitely eat that whole thing! … Every time I watch one of your cake videos I think “thank god there is no vegan cake bakery close to my house!” Because I am too lazy to actually make cakes very often and I would never be able to resist!

Hey there! I transitioned my life & blog & youtube channel to full Vegan in early 2016, but still kept the non vegan blog & recipes up for nearly 4 years, however since December of 2019 my non vegan blog has shut down. I couldn't keep up the cost to host it on the internet and maintain it monthly anymore The cost to host such a huge database online was close to $400 a month with tech support monthly to keep it clean & safe and smooth. I certainly do not (did not) make that much in adsense revenue through RU-vid & Google. Not to mention I just did (do) not feel comfortable anymore sharing recipes laden with animal ingredients promoting the very industry I loathe, so it really didn't make sense for me to keep them nor keep open and available such an expensive website. I do thank you so much for your support and encouragement through the ages! :)

Did you blend in some oil into the Silk heavy whipping cream before whipping it?

No it is whipped straight from the carton, what you are seeing in that video clip of the oil going into the blender is if you were to make my homemade version of vegan whipping cream www.gretchensveganbakery.com/vegan-whipped-cream/
