Well obviously the food is going to come out better when you properly take time to make it, but I like the 5 minute series because they show us simple and fast vegan recipes that are delicious
I was gonna comment similarly, the five minute ones are a fun challenge but I love watching a recipe come together at a more gentle pace, it's like watching a magic show to me :)
Simple recipes but the best. Just ordered both cookbook on Amazon. You guys are amazing. I really enjoy being a vegan because of you and you. Love coming from US.
I made this today and it’s damn good. The red wine really adds a very distinguished mild but bold and necessary flavor to the dish. God, every dish I’ve made of yours has been excellent. I love you guys. Bless you, your families and your business
In August of 2016, my husband was diagnosed with Stage 3B Colon Cancer. He refused the 9-12 months of recommended Chemo. We knew we had to find a better way to heal his body, and we did!! WE immediately changed to a plant based lifestyle!! We did a couple of other holistic things to address his cancer. I am happy so say that in September of 2017, he was declared no evidence of disease!!!! He is a chemo free holistic cancer THRIVER!!! Once your eyes are open to this lifestyle, you can never go back!!! I just wanted to say Thank you for your wonderful videos, as I have learned so much!!! Blessings!!
Just made it and ate it! Loooved the tomato sauce. Still have leftovers by the plenty. Looking forward to dinner tomorrow. Really enjoy your channel. Greetings from Norway!!
I made this lasagna for 6 people; it's sooooo yummy! The bechamel cashew nuts it's just so good! I could not find celeriac anywhere, so just I made with traditional lasagna sheets. All you have to do is pre-cook them to avoid the vegetables overcooking, because the lasagna sheets requires 45 min cooking time.
I made this for my work lunches last week - it's really a remarkable recipe and something I never would have thought to do! I was out of cashews and fresh basil (it's a bit late in the season where I live for fresh basil), so I used a walnut-based cream and mint/thyme for the herb sauce. I ate it every day for lunch and never got sick of it!
What a fabulous idea - I was just wondering what to do with my celeriac today. I love what you've done with this - oh just all of those flavours dancing together!
hi my lovely pair in whole wide world missed you guys defo making this for my hungry growing family cant wait love to meet you guys we are your biggest fans in the world xx
I think this is my favorite recipe of yours. I've made it so many times and everybody loves it (and goes in for seconds). I do replace the oil for water and it works just fine! Thanks guys!
I am eating it now and it is, there's no other word for it, epic :) There's a lot of preparation and ingredients but it's well worth it. This recipe goes to my standard repertory, thanks!
Omg this is amazing, just made it yesterday for my sons first birthday dinner. We're not vegan but I'll never make regular lasagne again! With all your videos I'm definitely on my way to being completely vegan 😍🙏
Okay! I have only just discovered you channel. Where have I been? I have a serious crush on the pair (pear) of you and your vegan philosophy. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I have just shared your video with a couple of friends and will be investing in your book! Cheers from Canada!
The most amazing recipe. 👏 Made it for a small dinner party. Both vegans and meat eaters alike loved it. 😍 Make it. So delicious. You want be disappointed.
I am going to make this.I think I will leave the basil out of the cheese sauce. As good as it looks, I like the yellow look of the cheese. But really good idea to put basil in it for extra taste and health benefits.Looks good guys !
celeriac- I don't think I have ever seen that, or heard of it before. I find it hard to believe it will be at my grocery store, but having said that I will probably find a bin of them and wonder why I never saw them before. Definitely going to look next time I go. If not I will just have to use eggplant to make this.
Cheers Gents, I am going to try this recipe by baking the celery root on a silicone mat and my pesto will be substituted with aquafaba instead of oil. Will check back with the results.
this is actually unreal tasting.....had to use turnip instead of celeriac as i couldnt find it today - last time i had turnip was when i was a child left sitting for an hour looking at a plate of every expanding mashed turnip and revolted by it......today i have been using roasted tunrip slices to mop up whats left of the sauce!!!!! this is gorgeous !!!
Yo dudes, I was in your cafe in Greystones for my birthday recently and I had a great time. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. I had a vegan meal but I noticed that you also had a lasagne on the menu which was vegetarian. I actually wanted lasagne but I went for dahl instead (which was also great). Do you mind me asking why you serve a vegetarian lasagne when you can actually make a great vegan one? I don't think it would stop vegetarians from ordering it, whereas vegans can't order meals with dairy in it, so they are left out. Thanks for a great channel and a great place in Greystones. I'm definitely going to visit it again :)
Thanks a mil for your kind words! We serve both vegan and vegetarian recipes at our cafe... the recipes on our youtube channel are not currently the same as the ones at our cafe 😄😋🙌
@@thehappypear Also the 11-15% of people in the U.K who have been diagnosed as lactose intolerant really appreciate tasty vegan food when eating out, as dairy is put in sooooooo many meals in restaurants that it is often hard to find things we can eat, especially if you are also intolerant of hot spices, which some chefs seem to think it is obligatory to add to nearly everything. The trouble with hot spice is once its added you cannot take it out. Whereas if hot spices are provided seperately to sprinkle & stir, people can always choose to add them.
I had your pumpkin and feta lasagne last month at your restaurant and I must say it was the best lasagne I've ever had!!! So excited to try this recipe! 😃
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the login password. I love any tips you can give me.
Just made this exactly as directed. It was good, though I found the celeriac to have too pronounced of a flavor for my liking. The tomato sauce was tasty, if I were to make again would probably swap pasta for celeriac and possibly use the sauce from your cannelloni (which is FANTASTIC!). So I prefer the cannelloni but this was still good (I am eating cold leftovers now :) ), everyone who ate it said the same.
We really need you in Totnes, South Devon. Lots of vegans here but no vegan restaurant. Please start one. Even if you do not want to move here I'm sure you could send some people you have trained to do it. Thankyou for sharing your delicious recipes. If the overheads of a resturant put you off, just have a take away. Or a shop. It would be so brilliant to be able to get healthy tasty take away. All the best.
This is deadly! I tried it - really worth doing. Guys, you have a moussaka recipe in your first book - might be an idea for a video. Love these videos - I live on them Monday to Friday! Thanks so much
OMG guys I was looking for a gluten free pasta sheet and I never considered the Celeriac !! .. it was really good thank you so much you are my heroes :D keep it up guys
You do not need oil .You can cook both onions and sweet potato with a little water or veg stock. Again use a salt free seasoning. If you have heart problems avoid the oil and salt. You will not miss them. You can make roast potatoes again in the oven without fat or oil just use salt free seasoning and use fresh rosemary. The Maillard effect ie browning occurs naturally. These guys do not have heart problems so be careful.
Just bought both books as love your food at Happy Pear. Thanks so much for this! My little one has multiple allergies (animal milk, eggs etc) so this is great and delicious help!!!
Hi guys! I just made this for my partner and she loved it! So flavoursome! I noticed that it has a lot of oil in and wondered if you have any recommendations for what I could use in place of the oil in the basil/cashew sauce? Thanks guys!
It looks really good, I wouldn't mind trying that. I'd say it's probably even better with the celeriac than it would be with lasagne sheets. But your white sauce is green :D
Awesome recipe!!! Cashew nuts don't agree with me so I was wondering what I could use as a replacement? I would love to cook this for my non-vegan friends tonight!
It's a myth that the alcohol boils off, especially in mixed solutions. You'd be better off using grape juice for the same flavor and no harmful alcoholic effects. Other than that I love your videos and think these are all fantastic recipes!
I find the 5 minute recipes quite amusing :D They show us that it it possible to cook something delish in a short time. I do however prefer videos without the timer too.
when i hear you guys talk about the 5 minute recipes it sounds like there is a rumor that you cant cook something healthy and/or vegan in a short amount of time. i think its quite the opposite, most vegan recipes are faster. the last time i made vegeterian lasagne i wanted to kill myself after making the dough and rolling it out. what i want to say is that my cooking got alot faster since i'm vegan so i dont need any special fast recipes. everything that takes less than 1 hour is fast to me and i dont want to see some hectic cooking anyway.
