Great video Rob & great product ! Really appreciate the in depth review, its sooo good to see products like this rolling through the mainstream lines and being accepted as competitive alternatives. Iv only been riding 2 years but went vegan 4 years ago and my lifestyle now incorporates trying to make more ethical informed choices surrounding bike purchases as well. I own a 2015 aircooled triumph scrambler and love it but i choose not to buy new leather clothes or bags, seats etc so when I hear a company is taking the initiative to come up with a inivitive products that dont exploit animals and have the planet in mind.. Im happy as bro🤙keep up the top notch content (apologies if I went too veganboner for the masses there lol)
Great product and movement generally. I'm also not a vegan but as you say, the stack of other benefits can't be ignored and with seemingly no downsides compared to a traditional leather jacket it's a bit of a no-brainer. Great video too mate, clear and informative.
I AM vegan and can I just say, this company has finally given me hope that I’ll be able to buy brand new gear instead of hunting around for used leathers so as to maintain my values. So glad to see other people accepting innovations that make the world a healthier safer place for us and our animal friends. Thanks to everyone supporting clean moto gear!
I'm vegan and have been searching for motorcycle gear. I have found everything vegan but good gloves. Will check their website and hopefully they ship to India.
@@ashmon1704 No I didn't. My current fabric gloves are still doing well and Royal Enfield offers many options for non leather gloves. As of now I dont see a need to get these imported. Easier to get it if someone is travelling from the EU.
I was just informed that there will be a Near X suite for women in 2024! Also there is a women suite in the outlet, I guess a prototype, but it’s really small, for someone smaller than 155cm and 49 kg.
Excellent in-depth review. Although essentially plastic, it looks as though they’ve gone to town on all other aspects to deliver a forward looking, footprint sensitive range. Designed for life is a good aim and plat I definitely has its place especially when manufactured correctly but still uses oil as core component? (Happy to be educated on this if wrong). Either way looks fantastic and they’ve been transparent. Thanks as always Rob 👍🏻 lots of effort here.
Hmm not too sure about oil, but yea the majority is plastics based. I wonder if you can throw it in the recycling bin once done haha. Honestly it’d be nice to see some sort of reusable process for the plastics. You bring up a good point here. I’ll ask the guys at Andromeda and see if they know of any proper disposal systems
All non-leather motorcycle wear is essentially plastic...... not sure what point your trying to make here. Leather and Cotton are worse on the environment than polyester.....
Impressive technology, may have to consider something like that for next summer - hopefully I can get rid of some of the belly before then too 😂 Been more vegan than vegetarian in my diet since last December, not that I have the whole vegan mentality, people can eat whatever they want to. I am tickled sometimes by what I see, like the hotel I was staying in had vegan soap!! I prefer to wash my hands on a lump of steak please 😉 Ian Back on Two Wheels
Haha! There is plenty of room in there so I recon you’ll be fine. Thanks for this, it’s interesting seeing where riders stand on the topic and it’s great to see that people are for it
