Veganism and The Red Herring Fallacy

Is veganism a red herring fallacy? A distraction from the truth? An agenda? Many ex vegans have regained their health eating meat, after their health completely failed eating a vegan diet. It's very clear that some people can not eat a vegan diet and be healthy. So vegans push the emotional ethical side. Always. You're killing animals, you're a murderer etc. But it's a red herring. We're talking about health here. If you can't be healthy on a vegan diet, your ethical red herring fallacies are debunked.

Forcing people into a guaranteed death trap via breeding like unconscious animals is an implicit endorsement of all the bad in the world. There is no human ever forced into this pointless/meaningless/unnecessary death trap existence for reasons that prioritize that human. Ever. "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." As Orwell explained in his book '1984' ‘However long you deny the truth , the truth goes on existing.’ - George Orwell "Truth is not whatever you want it to be, it is what it is. You must bend to its power, or live a lie." - Musashi Miyamoto There is absolutely no justifiable explanation for the horrors that await ALL souls after leaving their mothers womb. No choice is given and no ‘positive attitude’ can change it. ...

Hey man you really should follow NUTRITION MADE SIMPLE. He healed his mother with an exclusionary diet. She could only ear meat too. But he managed to introduce very slowly legumes after a while and she now can ear everything. I know that nutritional science can be confusing but there is a general direction in which the evidence points. He is incredibly good at exlaining it and showing you how certain arguments on both sides are being manipulated or just misunderstood. He is neither vegan nor carnivore as far as I understood but I had to think about you watching his videos.

Former Vegan here. I started the diet because I was fatigued and had a face full of acne. I ended the diet because I was more fatigued and my acne got worse . I was a whole foods vegan for nearly 2 years. I was so tired I couldn’t even work out; I became very thin and suffered from extreme mental fog. I finally quit when I realize I was developing orthorexia. Thank you for spreading the word brother you are helping so many people leave the cult. Dr. Greger was a huge reason why I went Vegan now looking at him, I’m shocked that I would follow nutritional advice from someone who looks very malnourished.

You put way too much faith in nutrition science and the ‘studies’. I’m afraid it’ll never deliver you’re just going to have to use some common sense and look at other sciences that practice better scientific discipline than nutrition science. Nutrition science is literally a basket case of ideology and bias. Read ‘Change your Diet, Change Your Mind’ by Dr Georgia Eade. It has a great in depth explanation of how nutrition science ‘works’ and it’s limitations and flaws. There are other good books that explain this too but I’ve read this one recently and it’s one of the best in depth complex yet simple (somehow) explanations that I’ve seen.

That isn't science, did you look it up? It's merely Self-Reported healthy user bias. "Respondents were recruited from open social media communities (World Carnivore Tribe, Facebook, 23%; Instagram, 18%; r/Zerocarnb, Reddit, 7%; Zeroing in on Health, Facebook, 5%; Twitter, 5%; other, 42%)" Inclusion criteria "≥6 mo by self-report". Practically half were excluded for things like duration (6 months, really?) and declining participation lol! Talk about healthy user bias! "A self-selected group of adults consuming a carnivore diet for ≥6 mo reported perceived good health status, perceived absence of symptoms of nutritional deficiencies, and high satisfaction with this eating pattern." And what was the so called benefit? The same thing you get every time you restrict and eliminate "Weight loss and other health benefits were most frequently indicated as the motivation for adoption of a carnivore diet." But, this could be said about every diet, all of which have an 80 to 95% failure rate. "In accordance with this possibility, respondents reported substantial BMI reduction and improvements in physical and mental well-being, overall health, and numerous chronic medical conditions. Respondents with diabetes reported special benefit, including greater weight loss than the overall group, and marked reductions in diabetes medication usage". We already know when you lose weight you experience symptom reduction. All diets do this. There is literally zero science supporting "carnivore". What you're talking about is the most desperate attempt at healthy user bias like ever. I could EASILY blow that away with millions more participants contributing from the vegan community and the vegans would outperform in every way. @@NoonyNewborn

What you describe in this video is the classic Motte and Bailey fallacy: Promote a modest claim "veganism promotes health" (Motte) and then defend it with a controversial claim "meat is murder" (Bailey). It's clever because it's a valid debate tactic until it's called out, even though it uses two unrelated positions to promote an idea. Socialists do the same thing when they seize power "on behalf of the working class". If you disagree then they can just say that you hate hardworking people even though the people you're disagreeing with don't do any labor.

Someone needs to put together a video. Someone who is very smart with editing, and put together a video of him arguing with himself all the points he made. Why veganism was the way to go against now his newfound, old phone, way of healing with the carnivore diet. It would be a huge success. Although it would probably be about 60 minutes long.

When my clients ask me why I'm vegetarian I always say it has nothing to do with Health since High quality meat can be one of the Healthist foods. For Me it's everything to do with Compassion and how I Feel Consiousness-wise as a vegetarian, psychologically , emotionally etc but lets be clear some of the longest lived people in the world eat various amounts of flesh foods, though seeming in moderation and from very high quality sources, of course there are vegetarians and vegans who live similarly long Healthy lives via Quality and Moderation

It's amazing how quickly meat eating changes everything. It was only a few months ago you were saying that you couldn't make friends because you wouldn't be able to hang around people grilling animals at a barbecue. @@MrAgao127 it's literally the opposite. He was phobic against meat eaters that's why he couldn't make friends. Meat eaters couldn't care less if you don't want steak. @Curiousnessify

nobody has prejudice against vegans as much as vegans have prejudice against meat eaters. Let me also make up some theories.. Carniphobia. One explanation for Carniphobia is founded on what is sometimes called the meat awesomeness conundrum: many people who eat plants hate the fact that there are people who eat meat and are healthy, which completely goes against their world view which is usually based on feelings. Meat eaters remind Vegans of this cognitive dissonance, and one way to resolve this inner conflict and reduce dissonance is to maintain prejudice against Carnivores. @@MrAgao127

@@vancemowat7544 It isnt the best for the environment, we dont have enough land and crops to feed enough animals to feed the entire world, but we have enough land to feed the entire world 3 times over with primarily plant based diets, so how can mass animal farming be the best for the ecosystem if the ecosystem would have to be wholly destroyed to allow everyone on earth to live off of animal based diets? The life taken from tractors farming crops is a moot point, because in order to feed those livestock animals you still have to grow crops and will kill random cockroaches and mice and worms and bugs and whatever else your faulty argument is based on. So you farm food for humans and accidentally with no malice involved kill animals, or you farm food for animals and accidentally with no malice involved kill animals, then feed that food to another animal, and then intentionally kill that animal, those animals of which are much smarter and show many higher levels of emotion and agency than the worms and cockroaches that farming kills accidentally that animal agriculture ALSO kills. Why be a sophist? If you like meat just say you like meat and you don't care about animals because you're the apex species, this argument of accidental farming deaths is wholly incorrect and based on either a fundamental misunderstanding of how the world actually works or intentional misinformation to other people about reality, to justify your taste pleasure seeking behavior. I've never been vegan, but as I've adopted and seen benefits from a ketogenic diet over the past year or so, I've been better able to see how vegans poison the well with these red herrings. I actually really respect the fact that they've got an ethical stance that motivates them, even if I don't agree and see some holes in the arguments. What annoys me a little bit is that they're not always honest about the fact that this ethical axiom is the lynch-pin in the whole system for them. They make claims and arguments about nutrition that are highly motivated if not completely predetermined by this ethical position. They pose as scientists when they actually value dogmatic confirmation over discovery and inquiry. And they've been extremely effective influencing our institutions with this motivated science going back to the Progressive era and the 7th Day Adventists. The keto/carnivore space, on the other hand, tends to be just as annoyingly tribal and short-sighted. But there's a key difference. Almost everyone worth listening to in that space has basically stumbled across it as a personal discovery. If they're evangelistic about it it's because they've seen wonderful results and want to share it. There's no real underlying common thread beyond that. They're susceptible to confirmation bias like everyone, but they're not motivated by some overarching moral crusade, so they tend to be more curious and pragmatic. My experience, anyway.

I'm disappointed that it wasn't more exciting.

Also healed by going back to meat/animal products. IBD and UC symptoms...grains, beans, legumes, and most nuts were effing me up more and more each year as vegan. Spent 7-8 years trying to make it work. Was tired, having blood in my stool, and feeling bloated constantly. Paleo has me feeling best. It was the bad omega 6 to 3 ratio that eating plant based caused me to have. That bad ratio is a breeding ground for chronic inflammation. It also happens to be that those foods are super high in lectins and phytic acid. I tried not eating those foods as vegan too (Basically no protein) and was sore + losing mad weight, muscle mass, already had low fat. No bueno. Sadly vegans will still gaslight your experience and say you didn't do it right. Bullsh*t, I worked hard as hell like veg police here to make it work. Ate healthy, organic whole foods...took all the right supplements, tried raw, tried different fasting protocols, did all the research. They are just mad that their beliefs about vegan being right for everyone, may not be true and they project that as anger. 80% of vegans go back to animal products, mainly for health reasons. So they are gaslighting and invalidating all of those peoples experiences because of their dogma.

Humans are frugivores, simple as that. Saving animals is just a massive plus. A meat diet kills way more animals than a fruit diet come on now… Eating meat isn’t healthy for humans if it’s not our species specific diet, the benefits people feel is because it’s a cleaner/simpler way of eating compared to what they were eating before. Water fasting - getting rid of ALL the old waste in the small intestine - eating fruit & leafy greens with very small amounts of nuts is optimal for us.

I’m getting closer to carnivore. I ate vegan for six and a half years. Gave me hyper-insulinemia and wrecked my gut. Everything I ate bloated me. I changed to meat heavy keto for one abd a half years. Struggled to maintain electrolytes but blood sugars became normal and I put on a little lost muscle. I went on a junk food diet from depression in 2021-2023 with occasional keto sprinkled in. This month I’ve been working toward carnivore. Meat, whey protein isolate, electrolytes and many supplements for now. Will take fewer supplements when I can eat more meat. I struggle if meals are too large or too frequent. Hoping my body can digest more food over time as it heals. For now I usually can only eat about 4-8 ounces meat twice a day. So I add whey protein isolate to help me get more protein. I’m older and sarcopenic after my 6 years of veganism. I’m looking forward to undoing the damage I’ve done. Hopefully I’ll get more energy soon. I have 0.2-0.4 ketones in my blood most of time now, but I’m still not fat adapted enough to have much energy. Caffeine can help, but I really don’t like having to use caffeine for energy. Hopefully soon I’ll have the energy to exercise regularly. I need some of that monkey strength. Lol

Vegan here and subscriber for a few years. It's ironic that this video about red herring logical fallacies is full of another type of logical fallacy, strawman arguments. Not here to hate on you and go on a vegan rant and whatever, but to act like eating animals causes less deaths than not is pretty bad faith. You're setting up an absolute ideal best case scenario for eating meat (a cow that only eats grass its whole life and then feeds you for 2 years after slaughter) which is not remotely aligned with the world's meat supply. Animals in animal ag eat plants which cause the same crop deaths per calorie but on a much larger scale due to the much larger volume of calories needed. I'm not gonna try to argue with your subjective experience of healing on a carnivore diet, but the opposite is also true for many people. Lots of people become much healthier by ditching meat eggs milk etc and eating a bunch of fruits and vegetables.

the excess nitrogen in the animal blood is what might cause problems over time if you only eat meat with nothing to soak it up, you can try to kosher. And for cooking the harder meats the easiest is a little oil on a pan on high heat sear the meat dont fully cook the meat (this is for flavor and you don’t need to)and then throw broth or water and salt/spices that you like to simmer for 2 hrs a bit tender to 4 hours pull apart tender usually.

Are carnivores in denial that all of those crops are planted to feed farmed animals? This argument is getting old, vegans don't kill more animals, it's been debunked 1000 times but they keep ignoring it because they don't like the idea. I am really disappointed not because Kasey is carnivore but because he is bashing vegans ( I am not even a vegan). He becomes more cruel the longer he stays on the carnivore diet. The way he speaks, the way he thinks, as if he is becoming another person. As for the healing: having high creatinine, high cholesterol and tryglicerides is not healing. Carnivores are in denial about that too, trying to justify their poor blood results with made up science and no long term studies of course. So many people getting strokes on carnivore and their reasoning is "Thank God it's the carnivore or the stroke would have been worse". Seriously? The delusion is insane! This is what a brain starved of glucose looks like. People heal symptoms on carnivore because they stop eating a food they are intolerant to. The moment they try to eat a potato or a leafy green their old symptoms come raging back-this is not healing, this is masking the problem. Show me a carnivore that healed and then incorporated normal balanced diet and is still symptom free. There are none, because they are not healed, they are wearing a bandaid.
