@@bryanx0317 Nah, the usual strategy is always going for Rhinos, we just tend to like Apocalypse tanks as they sound and look badass but in reality Rhinos are indeed better for how fast they produce and move.
I always thought when I first played this game that the Lasher Tank was a light tank while the Grizzly was basically the medium variant. I was surprised to see they are basically the same unit.
I'd like to see a compilation of funny situations. Like navy seal VS tank destroyer. Slave VS tank destroyer. How many slaves needed to beat a slave miner. A brute. Stalemate (or diplomacy) situations, where engineers meet engineers, or Chaos drones meet Attack dogs. Spies impersonating Attack Dogs, Chrono Leggionaires, Rocketeers, foreign Spies etc. Also I wonder what amount of anti-air is needed to down Elite Boris' MIGs before they damage the target.
Personally, RA2 for me is the best RTS ever made. Skirmish is much more fun unlike Warcraft 3 (which I also love), which has bullshit AI difficulty scaling (easy is already too hard). I wish somebody could turn this into some kind of OpenRA2 with enhanced features like replays, custom map tilesets and more...
If you keep up with your production and make the right units Easy ai on war3 is quite easy. Send scouting units like Mechanical critters shades sentry wards etc. to see what the enemy composition is and make units that counter it. Have your ranged dps units try to focus down important enemy units like heroes and spellcasters. Pull Injured units back so the enemy stops hitting them. and Bring healers with you. Be it witchdoctors, Priests, Obsidian statues, or Druids of the Claw.
What makes Warcraft III so hard when playing against AI is the food system. In C&C, you can build an unlimited number of units, but the A.I. only builds like 3-10 units at a time and then attack your base, and the cycle repeats
I was just about to do a video like this, but then I remembered you do comparison videos and I wanted to check you didn't beat me to it. You did. #sad 😂
There's another Cons for Apocalypse Tank: Very expensive to produce (1750$), and also take a long time to create even just a one Apocalypse Tank (1;10)
Yeah, but the fair price Apocalypse Tank from my perspective was 1500$ even if the normal price Cheaper than 2 Rhino tanks (1750$; you save 50$ for each Apocalypse tank created) And if Apocalypse Tank price was 1500$, just count how many Rhino Tank you can produce, instead creating 1 Apocalypse Tank
magnetron : if your lift any miner(idk about mobile slave miner but maybe the same) and drop them into enemy building = instant kill all buildings It's hard to use but you can use own miner too try combine them with iron curtain
@@tg.Sacred thanks. I watch these videos all the time to get new ideas for tactics. Red Alert 2 is my 2nd favorite video game after Rollercoaster Tycoon 2.
I use apocalypse tanks to defend my base along side Boris this way it's more effective then any other way until you have enough resources to just play around and build whatever you want
No, IFVs are not very good against tanks, and not really buildings, mostly against infantry and air. Elite IFVs are a whole other thing, they deal insane damage versus everything.
@@roboticrebel4092 I'm not talking about the C&C series. I meant the Sequel to RA2 is RA3. Then im saying The RED ALERT. Not the C&C, yes ik RA is a C&C, But im saying they're not gonna make Sequels for the Red alert Storyline.
Out of curiosity, how did you start with the 3 mcvs? Lucky crates or a mod? I'd like to try out a 1v7 with myself having the 3 mcvs and just having fun
Soviets units are stronger , but is fun that Allied is always far stronger in late game. Their technologies are better all around, and spy salellite to see the enemy base is incredible op. Plus high number of prism tank is the best status for easly annihilate the enemy, they are awesome in defense and can be easly promoted to elite. When the enemy attack start to slow ( you can see it with spy salettite) you can do an insane rush with lot of prism and IFV. And destroy all the enemy base in few seconds. Apocalypse tanks in group is insane strong, but they are slow and quite easy to challenge when you defense your base, unlike prism. Plus, Soviets are in big disadvantaged against Yuri, thay don't have units at high range that can easly kill Yuri or Mastermind or even psyc Tower aside chopper ( but he is too complicated and slow). Allied with Prism can easy annihilate Yury infantry, vehicles or base. The only big benefit of Sovites is the rush with lot of Rhyno, but is very difficult specially against Yuri. In Late game Allied > Yuri > Soviets.
Then that Apocalypse Tank gets run over by the Battle Fortress, now nobody's laughing... See this is why the Apocalypse Tank decided to get even heavier in Red Alert 3... So it won't get run over and can now run over vehicles...
Yes the Apocalypse tank is definitely bad ass and one of my favourite units!... To bad the Battle fortress makes it useless!...... They should of never added it to the game or at least make the Apocalypse tank a little faster in YR...
Battle Fortresses on their own is useless, can crush any vehicle, yes, but otherwise a glorified armored machinegun that costs 2000$, need garrisoned infantry inside to make it efficient, which costs some. But if economy is no issue, its super awesome!
They can’t attack while moving and can’t destroy constructions without destroying enclosure, also has shorter range and so easy to be controlled by yuri
*Sent to the enemy Soviet base 20 tanks ,,Prism* *Distracted to its base for a few seconds* *Returned and found that the 20 Allied ,,Prism" turned into three elite ,,Apocalypse", traveling in the direction of your base.* Always like this.
@@PrinceKassad95 ,,Mirages" would not have changed, because they can not attack on the go, and besides, they are not much more than Tanya's nail polish than on ,,Prism."
@@tg.Sacred I though of it overnignt. There is something called Battleship girls, so here's question - how would you prefer you Apocalypse tank girl to look like?
thenecrons100 perhaps they have more range than grizzly when they move and attack. I tested it when they were stationary but as I said files were indeed showing that rhino had 0.75 more range.
We all know that the tank destroyer is utterly useless as well as demolition trucks. And the apocalypse tank can take on infantry on veteran or not, So idk why that's a con.
Imagine a 1v7 brutal soviets on a complete ground map... *Yeah i aint dealing with 21 Apocalypse Tanks heading my way* Though I'd like to see how someone would beat it
