The Nomin backpack is a rather unique and expensive backpack from Veilance, the fashion line by Arcteryx. Is it worth the money? Watch the video review to find out.
Great review! I like your point at the end about the percieved organization. I've moved from a bag that had built in pockets and admin panels for everything to a more limited, open cavern and have discovered the usefulness of pouches and customizable organization. Makes it easy to switch bags and change loadouts too. Also, you don't end up carrying around a bunch of stuff you forgot you had! The back panel laptop box and flat document folder is a great idea too.
First time I saw that pack was at Shinsaegae department store in Seoul when I lived there about four years ago. Foreign clothing brands are taxed pretty higher there, so it they were asking over $1000 for it. They also had the Veilance 3/4 length trench coats. I tried them I. Together and felt like Neo in the Matrix. Slick bag
Good choice for a lazy Sunday afternoon bag review. The Nomin is a work of art in form and function. I also own one in the Ash colour, which really ads to its aesthetic, in my view. I also own the poor man’s Nomin, AKA the Granville 16 which I actually use more to spare the Nomin any possible slight caused by weather or misuse. Believe me, I know that is a crazy thing to do. I always look forward to your work, sir.
Thanks! The Granville is how I started down this road. I am treating myself to one expensive bag that get used because that's what this is designed for, right?
I enjoyed the video, thank you. I'm curious about the durability of the backpack strap. If you use it for a long time, won't the strap be stretched and can't be restored to its original state?
Mine is still new so I cannot speak from personal experience. Having seen some photos online from used ones the straps seems fine. They are not stretchy in anyway.
Right now, I'm on the verge of purchasing Nomin Pack v2. I have a further question for you who have been using it for a few months. I heard it's easy to take surface damage, is that really the case? How is the surface of your bag?
@@PKShiu I really want one of these haha I’m hoping I can trade for one in the near future. Thanks for the reply man. Great content you’re putting out🙌🏼
