Sure Griffin is a great frontman, but can we just take a minute to recognise how much of a BEAST on drums Simon is?! So for everyone saying how much Griffin sounds like his dad, I think its safe to say that Simon sounds BETTER than HIS dad!
Slipknot vibes, right? The vocalist is the son of Slipknot's lead singer, Corey Taylor. The drummer is the son of Slipknot's "Clown" Percussionist, Shawn Crahan.
I saw that and thought haha who`s these tossers tryin to show off then before the first song was over i was impressed, twas only when he mentions they`re from Des Moines that i twigged and googled them. Good band that have Slipknot vibes is best way i could put it.
The only thing similar to slipknot is Griffins voice (obviously learned from his dad). Other than that, the music is totally different. Heavier, more intense and thrashy. Very cool to see Corey’s son be inspired by him. That’s a kid who grew up idolizing his father and wanted to do what he did. No different than a boy who grows up with a carpenter as a father and wants to build stuff just like him.
It's very similar to early Slipknot. When I first heard them on Liquid Metal I thought it was an old unreleased Slipknot track until I looked at the screen and saw "Vended". But I dig it, Slipknot has been dead for awhile....this is what they should be.
So good! Sad to see that people in the comments live for comparison. Great that they resemble Slipknot, so what? Griffin is literally Corey Taylor’s son. It will have an influence and thank God for that. Their music is amazing for the tiktok era. Keep going, Vended. I love you guys!
With Griffin and Simon's dads being members of one of the biggest metal bands in history, they're never going to *not* be compared to Slipknot, but they're doing an exceptional job. Simon pulling off that drum fill with just one drumstick at 1:02 is awesome, and Griffin is shaping up to be a great frontman!
All these punk and nu metal revivals are amazing. Not my type of music anymore, but great to see that a new generation revives something as powerful as this.
Ded To Me sounds like Disasterpiece. Has the vibe. Its good to hear Griffin have his dads vocal talent, gives us knot fans a shiver for that old Corey sound and energy.
I've never heard of this band before and I watched the whole video before reading the comments. My thoughts throughout were that the vocalist sounds like Corey Taylor and the music is reminiscent of Slipknot.

Simon and Griffin will be in Slipknot soon enough. Wouldn't surprise me if Simon replaces Jay now he's left. When Corey is done (2-3yrs) Griffin will take his place and do a great job.
They got great people in the band but the songs felt like it’s just noises. Also, there’s no connection with the crowd. Hope they’ll improve as they’re all talented
its like if Buz McGrath played drums which is so damn cool lol Simon seems cool as fuck to me if he gets the gig then so be it i wont be mad i am super impressed by his performance here..
They definitely have chops but I don’t hear a hit song in their set yet. Who cares who their dads are, these kids have talent. Hopefully they will learn the art of writing hit songs.
Music isnt all about writing "hit songs." Especially metal, which, doesnt matter how good your songs are if your sound/subgenre isnt in the current trend. If you only want hits may as well just make pop or hip-hop.
I'm happy for him and these guys have some great potential but he needs to shy away from trying to sound so much like his dad. Especially when he's addressing the crowd. I wish them the best. Kick ass.
Isn't it amazing how these boys keep getting big stages like this even though their music never made any major breakthrough, like going viral, becoming an anthem or something like that? 😂 yet y'all folks be like "noooooo they ain't no nepo babies" shut up
