I run vendreads myself. I went with a more condensed 40 card version myself, counter all of the handtrap spam with gamma and called by.. Hardest part about building this deck is that there's so many ways to do it. I built it as Reorigin control, but there's also the zombie world version with Puzzlomino and Beatrice, the high combo version with impcantations, there's a drytron hybrid in the game.
Consider making a 60 version if you're up to it. Decks don't need to be 40 or have triple copy over everything (example ash blossom. Most people won't use all 3 copies of ash. Drawing double copies of ash in your starting hand could be okay, but drawing ash late game when you don't need her could cost you the game. Same for Maxx c, I run 1 as I need to activate 3 in 1 duel, and drawing double Maxx c in starting hand is not really necessary as 1 is enough, and drawing Maxx c later in game could cost the game as I may not use it and it could be replaced with another card that could always be useful like mirror force.) You just need cards that can set up your board, combo, and defend. Able to go first and handle going second. People think 40 is "quicker" when mathematically that was never true 60 cards offer 20+ potential cards that can be MORE support in potentially handling situations that could occur. Think of it as using all your pieces in cheese rather than half Or using the max potential (60) a deck could theoretically be. I might make a video one day elaborating on 60 cards because I don't see many people run them and they can be equal or even better than running a 40. (If you know the right pieces to add.)
Tbf vendread is mad cheap, this deck in particular is only really expensive cuz of all the ZW engine and generic staples (plus 60 decks are always more pricey), the archetype itself is nowhere near that costly since it at most needs only 2 URs to run ( 2 copies of Savior and that's it)
@yuno4573 agreed. If you just get three copies of the zombie structure deck, you're halfway done for SR and UR even on this 60 card deck, lol. Plus, that zombie engine is so good it cam be used in like 4 other archetypes. I use it in Eldlich, Shiranui, Mayakashi, and Vampire. You can also use it on skull servant if you try hard enough but ishizu is straight up better for Skull Servant.
