@kidantunex It's a gimmick as lead singer Cronos has said before. He's not preaching anything or telling folks to join anything other than rock. It was the early 1980s and there weren't a lot of bands that were trying to be fast and over the top.
English lads who grew up on Hammer films, who wanted to be scarier than Sabbath. That’s all. Look at the list of NWoBHM bands trying to make it...how to stand apart from everyone else?
i have a fear now of being buried alive what about if they think im dead when im just in a long comma and i wake up in a coffin and they cant hear me cant see me and ill rot there for months and be terrified for the rest of my decayeing life
I went to Capitola in Cali one day, down to the beach where was this little record shop. I found Venom's LP and I guessed maybe $10 or more. He sold it for $1...
1st song I ever heard of Venom, when I was 12 years old in 83, I thought Black Sabbath the song was creepy, this took me over the edge, was a "Die Hard" ever since, what a band Venom were, mental, bombastic, rough, raw, loud, fast, and then a genre was born.........this still has a right creepy vibe about it, Mantas solo is a twisted exercise in weirdness, and that bass line over the top, it works a treat...............................If God wont have me, then the Devil must, utterly brilliant, those 2 tunes just fit so well together.
Yeah, this is great but, if you really want to hear Mantas rip that guitar lead up on this song, listen to the live version on "Ein Klein Nachtmusik". Way better and more ripping, sounds like a wholly different guitar lead \m/
@getalife67 yeah, I must admit something shocking here and I'm actually fan of Lady Gaga and listen to some selective rap. (Close my eyes, and await for the stake)
