Actually the idea of the black suit was created by randy schuller venom himself was created by todd mcfarlene and david michelinie because todd didn’t want to draw the black suit anymore and when he was created (visually) todd didn’t know brock was under the symbiote thus creating his super monster like mouth and giant body build so mcfarlene came up with the idea of venom forming around him and thats how he was really created as a character (also the tongue wasn’t created by mcfarlene that was originally normal sized and then erik larson misinterpreted an image of mcfarlens venom with a huge jaw as a tongue for anyone in the reply section who wanted another fun fact) also sadly schueller didnt really like venom which kinda sucks

I just want Sony to realize that villains are villains. Its okay to have a villain origin movie, but sony doesn’t get what the word “villain” is. Thats the problem. Also they have no respect for the ip and are only making cheap cash in spider-man themed movies to try to replicate the mcu even though they don’t have any idea what there doing.

I liked it, I thought it was a much deserved improvement over the first movie. But people seem mixed with some thinking is better / worser than the first. I think they did a good job with Carnage vs Venom though

I think maybe that was the purpose of splitting them up for a portion of the movie. Having them be independent from each other for a while. But the plot forced them to reunite to defeat the bad guy before that could be explored, so it didn’t really work. Then again, it’s kind of hard to portray a healthy relationship when one of the characters literally can’t survive without a host.

But without Cletus it’s not really the same character. I thought maybe Venom could vomit up Carnage, but didn’t Cletus get decapitated? Unless he gets that thing they did to Zombie Ant-Man, he’s probably gone

@@Browntable I didn't mind the love story between Cletus and Shriek. I think it would have been more interesting if Carnage as a singular entity with Cletus started to turn on his love because of his new Symbiote abilities. So he has to grapple with the fact that his love is killing him. Instead of him having a choice between the symbiote and Shriek, because the symbiote is permanently bonded, he has no choice.

Carnage was my favorite part of the movie. I get that some people wanted him to be gorier, but it didn’t bother me in the slightest. He was so brutal and unpredictable and jumped out of the screen in a way that made me wish I could see it in 3D. While he wasn’t perfectly bonded to Cletus, it worked for the “Good guys fight, bad guys work together. Bad guys win. Good guys work together, bad guys fight. Good guys win. Go teamwork!” formula the movie was going for. I just wish we’d gotten to see a little more of his serial killer side after Carnage came along. They never murder anyone for fun with no actual reason to, like a serial killer does.
