Here we have the VentaPak Backpack Spacer.
This is the standard size, rated, by the manufacturer, for 10+ liter backpacks.
It only weighs less than 12 oz., according to the manufacturer.
On the website, it says that it can carry up to 89 lbs.
I will be doing some testing and weigh the pack to test the item under load.
It looks like it may work, however, some reviews say that the frame has snapped or the buckles have.
I think that this will be great for dayhikes when I use a smaller pack or something that my son would like to use for school. I travel a few times a year and expect to use it for that and hikes.
