Just try to put videos that many are not seen often or if at all.
Don't care what folk think of this camo it is my favorite desert camo. Just bought some after losing my pant and give my uncle the boonie cap because he was in desert storm.
it's so weird, because when i look at it elsewhere it's almost always the m39 gasmask bag, which is weird, because the gasmask all look the same and is either found as the type 4 gasmask, type 36 and type 39,
Possibly the only video description on these TT items. Can you tell m if the Shoulder Pads and Waist Belt have a stiffener in them or are they just foam? Thanks.
@@eskimomarine2252 Great thank for the reply. I'm actually thinking that this setup should work with the 1609MC frame as there is a slot at the horizontal crosspiece of the MC frame. Not sure if those slots line up though. Would be interestd tio find out if you have time to measure the TT straps mounting webbing.
I will see if i have time, I am working 2 jobs, my buddy from High School and Marines is in town, and I am getting ready for a trip! It works with the 1606 AC no problem because there are holes in the crossbar. There is enough strapping to go over the crossbar on the 1606MC, but without the holes, it may slide a bit. I can't test that now since I sold my 1606MC frame, but I did put it over the frame to test.
@@eskimomarine2252 Ok no problems, if I get those straps at some point I'll check them against my MC frame (also have both AC and MC frames), I suspect something could be rigged with the MC by feeding the strap through that one slot and then through a metal triglide to act as a keeper and back through that slot again.
Nice! Hopefully, your kit that you traded wasn't too expensive. I found a Surplus store with the woodland color as the primary exterior. The owner wanted $399 (with tags, unused) and said that she would sell it for $300 but wouldn't go to $250. Used ones are usually worth around $200.
Nice I was looking at those I want to pick up a summer bag. But from what I read from the seller he said they're kind of small and I'm 6FT..😬😩. Looks like good quality though
I am gonna buy the steel version soon but 70 euros seems like a ripoff. But aluminium is poisonous to heat up food with. So I guess its worth it. Best all round-kit there is, period
Have to hide it from your wife? Dude, when she walks in you tell her im a man, these are my things, thats all you need to know. Freedom isnt free, sometimes you just have tp accept alimony as the price of it. Lol
Yeah I found one of these gen 1 molle vests (it had part of the ruck pack assembly... Of which I had the bag and frame it belonged to) and there is barely any info on the gen1
I have the whole set up. Cfp 90 and the patrol pack. It's a nice combination. I found the main pack at a antique store of all places. Sold it to me for 25 dollars back in 2020. Recently I found the small pack that attaches to it at a local surplus store. It was with oddball stuff they only had one or two of. So it was clearanced for 10 bucks! . 35 bucks for entire set up in excellent condition. Took a few years though lol.
good video showing measurements. the short height on this is useful if you want to run flc with the waist pack attached directly to it. the molle assault pack is too tall for that purpose. you can then increase volume horizontally by attaching sustainment pouches to the sides. a very good design. wish the military would use this form factor more often.
Thanks for the info friend. The T4 one I've had kicking around forever. I went to clean and condition it so I could use it for whatever. My dad used it to carry tool as a merchant Marine, and his dad was a paratrooper in WWII. So now I need to figure out how the bacon grandpa ended up with it.
Quite possibly! My supplier referenced them as "Mara" packs. The 1915 is essentially the same, from my research, with the exception of canvas used against the back rather than leather.
@@eskimomarine2252 yeah that's true, also the 1905 does have a wooden frame (atleast according to my research) but the 1915 is unsure if it has it or not
so when toy turn it around there is a strap in the middle (not the one used to secure stuff ) and just wondering if you knew what that is, have found some models that have it and some that don't
I am not exactly sure what strapnyou are talking about. If you know the time, I could answer more easily. The top middle one is for securing a wool blanket or coat (along with the 2 side straps. If you mean the round strap without the hook, it is the shouldernstrap and the hooks on the other strap are for attaching to a bandolier, or later a Browning Automatic Machine Gun Belt (ammo belt).
Sorry for the delay. They seem pretty true to size. I tried them on at Bass Pro Shop to ensure that they would fit in the normal size that I wear, size 13.
I have the Vietnam helmet. They are all exact the same. Those are from plastic. It is this CD and DVD case translucent plastic from yesterday just painted. It gives some impact protection for an low grade safety helmet. Chinese versions sometimes are on eBay from wood. I use this Vietcong plastic helmet in Latinamerica scorching heat sun on a farm. These are actually the original Vietcong helmets which are still made new. The Vietcong had a reason to switch from pith to plastic since branches and brushes will break pith when rushing through woods with an AK 47. Plastic is the way to go for rough handling. Pith just will not withstand being hit with branches and trees. The Vietcong hat works just has an to small overall brim for real sunshade. Otherwise its inner harness works and air can circulate around your head. It is better than any boonie or Panama hat. But I ordered an Wolseley pith helmet now from Village Hat Shop. I find 49$ a bit of an steep price for the Wolseley since its durability is shorter than that Vietcong hat from plastic. After all these are all made in Vietnam. I was thinking to modify an M16 german Stahlhelm for an tropical helmet but I am unsure how the steel will behave under hot sun exposure. Stahlhelm is certainly more durable.
Thanks for the advice. I have a surplus MultiCam bag that smells pretty surplus-y, and seemingly no amount of sunshine and airing outside is getting the job done. I'm trying to be careful not to use treatments that will ruin the IR properties of the MultiCam. I'm going to give Concrobium a try on the inside of the bag.
Thank you for doing this video & showing this comparison sir. Admittedly I haven't owned it long or been able to use it much, as of this writing, but I am really liking my Pathfinder M34 Flask & Cup Set. It rides well in my haversack & offers peace of mind to me as yet another option, in case it's needed.
I respect whatever you wanna do with your own self defense but pulling an unoperable weapon could escelate the situation to the point of you getting yourself hurt, be careful there are crackheads who'd try to harm you to get ahold of your firearm
Sure, I was just answering a question from another viewer. I keep my Byrnas out of sight. They are either in a holster or my CCW sling pack. Both of my jobs are okay as long as they aren't out and in my personal effects.
I am not saying don't wear a pistol nor that I don't. Obviously a real weapon can perform better. I do choose to use a Byrna often for a few reasons - I have a son who is 16 years old. If he is anything like I was at his age, I am afraid that I might actually shoot him if he sneaks out/in. I also handled a lot of weapons in the Marines, and I know how lethal they can be. I don't want to be lethal unless I have to, so Byrna is a compromise that can still be effective, albeit less effective depending on the situation.
@@smotmotmost situations don't require lethal force which is why Byrna, Umarex, Salt Supply, Grimberg, and other companies make Less Lethal guns. As to his explanation, he doesn't own you one. He explained why he has them and if you have a problem with it, then that's on you. As a military vet I carry both a lethal and less lethal on me when I'm out and about, just like we did when I was in the military. Law Enforcement are the same way, they carry both and use them according to the situation. I suggest if you think you're more than an armchair cowboy, you find someone with a less lethal launcher and have them shoot you a few times in the chest, stomach, legs, and knees and see for yourself just how painful these things can be. I know because I've been shot by them both the kinetic rounds well as the chemical rounds they use to subdue assailants as part of my military training and the chemical rounds are exceedingly painful to experience.
Hello love your videos. I noticed in one of your other videos you have that lid for the Swedish mess kit M40, where do I find myself one of those lids I have a really nice M40 Swedish mess kit and I want one of those Lids just not sure where to get one
The lid I bought from eBay. It is still listed under Swedish Army Trangia Lid. It is made in England. The price for shipping is much more now. When I bought it, it cost about $17. Now it costs almost $30 ( including shipping ).
