Dr. Joel C. Elowsky is professor of Historical Theology, dean of Advanced Studies, and director of the Center for the Study of Early Christian Texts at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He is also a researcher for the Center for Early African Christianity at the Oden House in New Haven, CT. He is the editor of many publications including two volumes of the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture series, two volumes in the Ancient Christian Texts series, a volume in the Ancient Christian Doctrine series, and consulting editor for the Encyclopedia of Ancient Christianity.
