Some metals are carcinogenic (cancer formation) and teratogenic (misformed organs). Atomic absorption spectrophotometry is one of the lead (Pb) analysis methods which has been standardized in SNI 06-6989.8 concerning water and wastewater. This method is used for the determination of lead, Pb in water and wastewater by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (ASA) in the range of Pb levels of 1.0 mg/L to 20.0 mg/L and a wavelength of 283.3 nm.
