What do you think of Verizon's new unlimited data plans? 🤔 I think their Play More Unlimited plan is best, but honestly I'd much rather sign up for Visible's $40 unlimited plan ($25 with Party Pay), or US Mobile's new $40 unlimited plan.
Me too, we use between 500 to 700 gigs per month on average on the old grandfathered unlimited plan. I like how they call the plans Unlimited and they have a cap on them LOL
Joe Dirt it’s not like you get a hard throttle after the cap, lot of people don’t even see it. Can you stream in any resolution without a VPN tho with your plan? I heard everyone is restricted to 720p/1080p Hotspots
You’re paying up the as you pay 110 plus an additional 20 for every line so say you have 1 line you pay 130 instead of paying 80 on auto pay and having 50Gg of premium data play unlimited and you get a 50% discount on connected devices or you can choose to go with Apple Music and still pay less so you can have an iPad and a phone for the same cost you have for you’re phone get your money’s worth my dog
There actually so much more benefit with Verizon if you know what your doing. The worst part of their service is the 0.5 GB you get for Canada and Mexico bs tmobile 5 GB

Once you've used a certain small amount your wifi hotspot speed will be reduced to 3g supposedly during peak times of usage, but thar's a lie, it'll just be throttled period. Verizon is a waste of money. There are lots of places where you won't have any service while AT&T customers will be laughing at you. And don't call customer service, I've had some of the worst encounters with a supposed customer service department with Verizon's. They also lied tp me from day one. And when they initially introduced unlimited data they lied also.

Great job breaking down these plans. Definitely annoying how complicated they are though. It makes me appreciate the simplicity of Visible's plan despite some of its flaws.
I'm amazed at how much data people can use. You gotta be watching tv all day on your phone if your using that much. Not those prices dont include financing and taxes. I pay for my samsung in full day one and only spend $45 a month with virgin mobiles unlimited plan.

Interesting. But using Visible Party pay like a family plan with 4 lines across it 2 houses, with Hotspot, I still say it cannot be beat for our use case.
The 2 that are $80 make no sense. The one with more priority data has worse video streaming. They basically gave cons and pros to both plans to screw you out of something either way, or make you pay the highest premium to be the priority and streaming. Glad I have att, where my video streaming is 100% unthrottled. I have a tower that hits 300 mbps, and fast.com (Netflix servers) shows 300 mbps.
Did anyone find out if the play more Apple Music is family wide or single line? Either way I’m happy with it. Started getting throttled too much on my old go unlimited plan..
Play more Unlimited is 80. If you think about it, the 90 dollar Get More Unlimited plan doesn't come with "free Apple Music" since it's 10 dollars a month on its own.
This must not be in all areas...I'm in georgia and just yesterday my plan was upgraded to 90 dollars because there is no 85 dollar plan and my 80 dollar plan had no hotspot what so ever. Where are these plans coming from? Where did you find these plans? I was told there was nothing between 80 and 90 dollar plans nor 70 or 75 dollar plans...here they all start at 80 (the lowest plan with unlimited text talk and data and no hotspot).
I got these plans directly from Verizon’s website! Perhaps they are referring to the plans without the auto-pay discount applied? Add $10 to the cost of the plans in this video to get the actual cost of the plans. Verizon lists the prices on their website with the $10 auto-pay discount applied, so the plans appear cheaper, and I was using those prices to make this video.

Apple music is free for the life of your plan, I have youtube music, honestly you cant no to absolutely courteous/free apple music. It's on android also
@@Gabriel.4190 it's just my preference and the Spotify student bundle comes with Hulu and Showtime so for me it's a better value. Even if I didn't have a bundle I just have a preference for Spotify, better integration into many systems. You may prefer the free included apple music but everyone has different needs.

Since I have 1000 gigs of data at home and I have WiFi at work these plans make no since for me. I don't even use 5 gigs of my 10 gig plan per month, and any data left over rolls over and now I have 32 gigs of data.
Exactly my home wify is alot stronger anyway and im a veteran so i get a good discount the play more unlimited is just 65.00 for me plus tax lol . Before the plan included tax the 80 dollars was what you paid then they changed and added tax lol I have Tmobile also and its not really that much different in price for what i need. Plus i can use GSM finally in 2020 Verizon will move to GSM so you can get awhole bunch of great phone one plus included along with the japanese models now.. Hopefully they wont drag their feet in 2020 when they start using GSM

Funny that I have Verizon get more unlimited plan and it says hd streaming up to 720p. I get 1080p streaming and higher also. Haha! Maybe they're talking about sponsored apps through Verizon? Anyway people should disregard the hd streaming limited to 720p because that's not the case. Haha.
I'm not a fan of cell phone carriers controlling the ability to use hotspot feature. I really don't understand how/why they can do that in the first place and I don't see it as fair to the phone owner. I remember when hotspot became a sought-after feature IN A PHONE, regardless of what plan/carrier you have.

After 15 years of working for and having Verizon wireless service I went to AT&T and could not be more happy. Verizon while good for a while I wanted the new I phone 11 pro max and they would not help me with discounts on this phone. I told them after 15 years of service I should get one for like 50% off and they said not going to happen. So after several call to customer service and corporate i ported my number to AT&T and got $1000 dollars off a new IPhone 11 Pro Max. They transaction went perfectly and have great service and will prolly never go back to Verizon they just did not care about me as a customer.
Basically means you aren't subject to slowdowns when the network is congested (i.e. you're in an airport with a lot of data users, the tower will send your data packets to you over other people).
Someone explain this to me..... Why can't you pay more towards your phone (not to phone bill). Instead of paying 24 months, why can't I pay 18 months? Kinda like paying for your car. You can always pay more for that. Thanks.
Because they want you to be locked on a installment plan. The best way around this would be to put down a deposit for the phone. Then when you get the rest pay off the phone completely. They wont let you put a little on it at a time.
I just signed up for Visible and got my phone on the service, 2 days ago. Outside of the inconvenience of learning to use the new phone (Motorola E6) after 3+ years with my Samsung, I think I'm going to be very happy with Visible. My former service was Straight Talk and it's on the Verizon network and has very good coverage, but doesn't offer hotspot useage. I think I'm going to be happy with Visible!

So I had to buy a Straight Talk hotspot and 5 gig refill every 2 months for $50+. Now, I'm going to save $7 mo + $330 yr, and Visible is my new home! Ah! Competition!

I currently use CC and have for the last several years. They are geared toward AARP customers however anyone can use their service. They run off of T-Mobile towers (or ATT depending on your zip code). Service is fairly good. I’m in chandler, AZ and have decent service running off T Mobiles network. I especially love the no contract and ability to use your own device. They ship you a SIM card for free.
When I started with Verizon it was only 40.00 a month period, no drama no this and that mess. They have went down since that changed.m y service is so iffy where I live now that I am seriously leaving and going to prepaid service unlimited.
I have both AT&T and Verizon and honestly they are equal to me from what I can see and tell you. Some examples are that I've been up to the mountains and Verizon was fast and everything was great. AT&T had almost no service in the mountains. That has gotten better. In the city they are very equal although AT&T has very fast speeds in urban areas and Verizon can be fast as well. On the open road or when traveling AT&T has improved so much with coverage and band 14 is really great if you are a first responder or have a band 14 capable phone. The only other carrier I had was TMobile and they were just not consistent at all and the calls dropped so much. There isn't even service sometimes with TMobile and your phone will show you full bars. I know people using TMobile still today that tell me this. Verizon and AT&T are the best in states. I know lots of ways to get decent deals with both carriers. Anyway hope your phone service works out for you. Stay safe and stay well!
Verizon is still the highest price on unlimited data or just mins on a phone a month was paying 165. Dollars a month for 2 phones when we had Verizon.. now we only pay 103 a month for 4 lines and have everything and more and were not with Verizon anymore
These unlimited data plans are still unlimited. Let's say you get an unlimited plan with 4G data speed, but after a certain time, the company reduces your speed to 2G. The 2G data speed is still unlimited, but it's better than absolutely no data at all. Being 40 years old, I don't mind 2G data speed......its a Dinosaur speed, but it's better than no data at all. And before your 4G data speed is reduced to 2G data speed, you should get a text message saying that you're almost out of high speed data. 2G data speed can be frustrating, but it is doable. 2G data speed is better than having no data speed at all.
I think it’s a great option. Probably one of the best deals in wireless right now. Biggest downsides I’m seeing are week customer support and heavy data deprioritization if you’re in an area with a lot of Verizon users. After having Visible and Verizon, I basically concluded that I needed priority data, (I drive for my job, and use maps a lot on the road) so for me Visible was great except for data de-prioritization. If you live or use your phone in areas that don't suffer from de-prioritization, by all means go with Visible because that is a great deal for $25/month
This is all ridiculous there is no reason to cap data usage.. im using over 75gb a month I'm at over 100gb I used 35gb in a week last month I would love to know the point in doing this
verizon has a problem with the english language they told me unlimited but you only get 22 gigs. doesn't sound (unlimited check your dictionary for the meaning of unlimited) also my phone said your ready for a free upgrade went to verizon they wanted the tax understandable but also 40 hook up fee for new phone verizon please check the dictionary about the word free please
dbl. yo. Unlimited usage, not unlimited high speed, yes different phrases but still unlimited in that regard. Also phones that are credited to you are technically “free” but still have to have taxes paid on them since the agreement on them is technically a small loan that is paid over a 24 month period so the government requires those taxes to be paid upfront. The upgrade fee/activation fee is a networking fee that Verizon charges everyone and the money is used to maintain towers and help the company grow, that’s why Verizon is the size it is now. Please check the terms of agreement before you sign anything and actually know what you’re getting in to.
I had AT&T they said it was a truly unlimited plan in fact they advertised 22 gigs of high speed data but throttled at 10 gigs. Yesterday was my last day with them. I went to Visible talk and text are unlimited. Data is what is important to me while not super fast I can watch streaming video all month. That works for me. Now for $40 I am better off than with AT&T's $85 plan.
Its 2020. I still have the 75$ a month TRUE unlimited. Easily use 150GB a month, closer to 200. Even tho the hotspot isnt the strongest, its unlimited. Unlimited calls, txt, mms. I'll keep paying ( after tax in my state ) $82 a month for UNLIMITED Pre-paid.
2G is much better than having no internet and data at all. It's slow, but I don't mind, because 2G is still unlimited, provided you get the unlimited plan.
That streaming rejection really isn't true. Seriously. I watched this video in 1080p, 1440p, 2160. Really I did. I think it's limited to 720p in sponsored apps and Verizon apps probably. Do you use Android or Apple?

I had the Get More Unlimited Plan with Verizon but I just left to go to AT&T’s Elite Plan for the 100Gb of data for my phone and tablet. Verizon only gives 15GB of priority data for the tablet on the Get More Unlimited Plan. I have noticed that Verizon’s network was faster in Jackson, MS, but AT&T gives more data and it is still usable for video streaming. I hope AT&T upgrades their network here. More capacity is needed.
And you probably have garbage ass Sprint or t mobile getting reemed for crap speeds and pay for a phone you can hardly use. Maybe you are the one who is getting ripped off. 😭🤣
I'm a "millennial". I understand phone plans. I have Verizion. I'm so confused about why I'm wasting money on a company that doesn't seem to even care about being affordable.
Federal taxes, state taxes, and regulatory fees will be added to the cost of the plan. For me these were ~$6/month. The plans are also listed with auto-pay enabled, so add $10/month to get the true cost of the plan. And there’s a $40 activation fee.
Getting similar at Metro By T-Mobile for $50/month.🤷🏾♂️ At Boost Mobile I paid $50/month but didn't have the ability to turn off Call Waiting, nor did I have VoLTE and the signal sucked at the house.
I've had friends who were terrified about the 2G data speed. They thought that meant that they had run out of internet and data. I laughed and explained it to them. Many unlimited plans begin with the 4G high speed data, then after a certain while, the company reduces the 4G data speed to 2G data speed.......but it's still unlimited. MY friends understood it then. 2G data is doable, it really is doable. And it's much better than having no internet or data at all. I know of a friend of mine who wishes she had unlimited.......even 2G data speed. 2G data speed is nothing to worry about if you have an unlimited plan......the 2G data speed is still unlimited. And while it's terribly slow, it's better than nothing at all.

Yikes it's crazy to me how people take out a car payment on thier phone. You could just buy the phone out right and get a $50 prepaid month to month plan. You would literally save $1400 a year.

Mexico Canada Text and calls Visual voicemail on 2 of 3 devices The line 3 devices line charges include my note 8, old note 3 backup and a tablet I own all devices Price per month including tax and misc bullshit charges and fees $196.48 That seems to be better value than their published pricing? I use a ton of data as I use for business and personal. Seems cheap to me but what am I missing. I guess apple stuff you mentioned and the 5G which is a none factor until Houston has 5G

Daniel your unlimited plan might not itemize the line charge but it's in the monthly amount. I say this because I have unlimited premium data on each device but a 20.00 month line charge for each device. See my post but drive out with my premium unlimited on all 3 devices includes. Mexico Canada free calls and text, voice to text voicemail on 2 of 3 devices including tax + miscellaneous bullshit fees and charges, 3 line charges $196.80 (I own my devices) $65.60 per device which I think is a good price, cheaper than the plans advertised but as I mentioned I'm charged a line charge. The format they use to generate my charges is irrelevant to me. Personally the total all in cost is what I feel is the most pertinent number when evaluating the real cost and value I'm receiving.. Or not?
Verizon is a conservative company period well AT&T is more liberal T-Mobile and sprint are also a little bit more liberal. Me Myself I rather use AT&T because I give me more for my money period
