Hiya mate, haven't checked in for a while, glad to see that you are still doing a great job getting rid of vermin. Hope that you and your family are safe still, cheers buddy
Fantastic video mate always quality content, I have one in .22 and its amazing, keep the content coming you should use the rm8 more often id like to see more videos
Cheers Liam 👍I haven't used it much in the last couple of years. I don't use it on rats much because of the shot count. It's around 100 to 110 good shots in 177, the wolverine is 150 so no need to take a tank with me
Another brilliant video mate, great footage, and top noth shooting as always, Wow thats a lot of scaly tails mate, you certainly cleaned that place up, cheers
Great video, wasn't expecting to see the guts like that 😮 took me by surprise being a target plinker and not live quarry yet. I have the RM8 too, great rifle. Been using a hawke scope on it but as you know from other video comments I've just upgraded to the 008P LRF. We have all forgot the pellet count in the magazine 😁
Crackin vid and shooting once again m8. Loved the 'head-shot' pidgeon footage. I own an RM8 (amongst other air rifles) as well. Accuracy is spot-on for a budget rifle. I'll never part with mine.
Nice vid wich shows us the big problem with those critters . And my question is ; do you have some knowledge about rabbits underground activities are responsible / can be connected to land slides ??
@@Wolverineverminshooting A few things about your rabbit gutting technique, being an expert rabbit gutter myself (started aged 10). I can understand that gutting this way reduces the weight to carry around. If you are using the rabbit for ferrets fine, but if the idea is for humans to eat the rabbit meat no, this is not a good idea. Why? Two reasons. First, on the liver there is a little bile sack. For an adult rabbit it is quite small, about the size from the last knuckle to the top end of your little finger in an almost clear skin thin bag attached to the liver. You need to remove that intact without bursting it, because if the intent is to eat the rabbit meat, the bile, if exposed to the meat sours it and makes it taste awful when cooked. By squeezing out the guts, the likelihood is that the liver bile sack can burst as it is quite fragile. The bladder too, but this is less likely as it is more robust. Second, the liver itself. You can eat this, the heart, and the kidneys BUT the liver has to be closely inspected. If it has yellow spots or yellow circles on it, then the whole rabbit has to be thrown away. Why? Because the rabbit is infected with mixy (myxomatosis) and can make you ill. You can see that externally too, but the liver is a tell tale sign when there are no external signs. Sometimes you have to look really close because the spots or circles can be very faint, but that's it, if you see them then chuck the entire rabbit away. Useful? Had plenty of rabbit pie! It is a delicious low fat meat, as good as chicken any day. By the way still loving the videos. Keep them coming.
I don't eat the rabbits I give them to my dog and others I give away to my dog groomer that feeds them to her dogs. The little ones get left where they are for buzzards or foxes
@@Wolverineverminshooting Fair do's. But for human scoffing, they are best guts in and then they can be dressed properly. Wow, dogs eating rabbit. They are delicious cooked. Ever tried rabbit? Every bit as good as chicken. But you need adults, not leverets. In a pie fantastic. Not had rabbit pie for some time now. My mother used to make the best, but unfortunately she is no longer with us. Still good memories of gutting, and some nice grub.
Tks, would like to know ur shooting setup, pic at start of video shows tripod and stool. I trying to find perfect setup indoor and outdoor . I use rifle bipod and shooting stick bipod but not easy for 180⁰ shooting
Love to see a poleaxed pigeon, like you say little rabbits turn into big rabbits, i lose count my Hw100 at night on the rats and that mag has a marker on it lol
When gutting a bird I stick my fingers up its butt, pull the intestines out, then reach up with my hand and grab the esophagus, windpipe, and pull that out. Now I can get the heart, liver, and gizzard. I never saw the rabbit trick before, that was different.
13:23 act´s like drill ! I think it is a personality/ character thing wow they behave when they being shut . But do not count on that ! It´s my guess ;)
Re: the rat bobbing, I’ve heard it’s the ones who survive eating poisoned bait. Something about them struggling to breathe properly. No idea, but I read it somewhere, so make of it what you will. More humane to shoot em in the head if you ask me.....!
