My friend is ultra Elf main, he uses Natural Bond on ALL his Elf builds, even on most builds for other characters. I only picked it for thorny because of power on regen. This trait is very unstable in my opinion. If you are a very experienced player with over 2K hours and you can avoid almost all attacks, then you may pick NB, you will save those heals for the team and regen occasional hits. But if you are an average player or even a new one DON'T USE NATURAL BOND.
I completely disagree with you about Natural Bonds and Parry. NB for me is up there with barkskin. Barkskin only does something if a) you are bad enough to get hit several times within very few seconds, or if you get DoT, but only some classes struggle dealing with sources of DoT. It may get triggered by FF but again, it only does something for you if you constantly get hit. Meanwhile NB will heal you no matter what. It is brilliant to negate FF and if you made a rare mistake and got hit, it won't take long to get healed back up. That way, if you really need to cure wounds, you can heal someone else and technically get 2 heals and 2 cures out of a single medkit, with NB getting you back up and THP giving you a protective buffer. As for Parry, with enough skill and reflexes you can even tank cata CW patrols on glass cannons. Yes you sacrifice a bit of up-front damage, but whether up-front dps or survival are the best option keeps changing with the situation. Sometimes having SS instead saves you from getting swarmed, other times damage potential just won't be enough and you get forced into corners anyway. On top of that it lets dps hold their own with less babysitting by tanks/supports.
Barkskin is mid tier, probably B. Better than Healers Touch sure, but Boon of Shallya wins every time and NB has some edge cases. Think about it this way, if you were to get hit once within barkskin's active window every time it activated, it would be a net 20% damage reduction (0 on the first hit, 40 on the second). You aren't going to get anywhere NEAR that much though, because 90% of the time you won't get hit a second time within 2s, and half of the remaining time you're dead anyway because it's something like an Assassin or Plague Rat pack. Mostly it helps against DOT specials (gas, fire, and blight), and occasionally against random horde swipes, but regardless having 30% more (temp) healing will pretty much always be better.
I find natural bond works well with waystalker as it stacks with her natural healing talent and Grail Knight’s health regen buff. You don’t have to worry about using healing items.
I feel that inspirational shot was created on paper like "let three players push and kill stuff while one ranged career provides stamina and kill some shit with ranged". Fine on paper, totally far from reality.
this dude is underrated as fuck. its bcos of him, im actually a good player now in V2, with advance mechanics guide and weapon mechanics. significantly improved my gameplay and my survivability. looking forward to go FOW with your guide. i need a team xd
Aww dude thank you so much man! ༼ つ ಥ_ಥ ༽つ Comments like this one is why I love doing what I do! P.S I know there is a team of players on my server right now planning to do FOW tonight! :)
Regarding Conservative Shooter, I'd say it is an S tier, but it "shines" on Huntsman Kruber because you can theoretically never run out of arrows, even if you miss 50% your headshots. xD
That is correct. Theoretically the mechanic doesn't ''require'' that you are maximum HP but It's the only way to do it consistently. For example. Lets say you fall for 1000 dmg but because the game calculates that you have 150 (+1) health available you take 150 dmg and instantly regain the +1 health and survive. But in theory you could also have 2/150 health and take the same 1000 dmg and survive if you are shit out of a luckhole and manage to hit the ground exactly as that 1 hp drops every 5 seconds! :D
Great vid as usual, I like this tier lists, because they are short videos and also they're fast and easy way to improve your game knowledge and options. It would be great if you continue with them, me and my friends are using your guides all the times if we are in doubt(we have finally done almost all maps on cata thanks to you also :) ). You could also done video on breakpoints or strategies for each map (best places to take hordes or good places in general, final events tactics etc), or tactics for weaves like how to deal with shadow wind which I can't complete - unless you already did them and I did not see. It would be great if you could update weapon tier lists after last addition of new weapons. :D Also I have a question about Opportunist, does the trait activates with the start of the enemy attack animation or it's like parry, a moment before it hits you? Lastly, that elf Natural Bond meme made my day man! Keep up the good work PK! ^^
Firstly. Thank you so very much my friend! Also I actually do have a series called ''Tactical Map Guides'' for some of the harder maps! As for opportunist. It's more like a passive buff to your stagger power so it's always active! If you aren't canceling the enemy minions attack sequence then you need to lookup stagger breakpoints! :) Checkout my top 10 tips the weapon mechanics version. I think it's the last tip which has a steam guide with all of the breakpoints and thanks for watching!
1 person should be open about their feelings. Thanks for the hard work on this video. Like usual. Okay the thing about the healing and the f-tier is that it's really good for beginners who are casuals that want to play with their friends. You're pretty hardcore sir
The time i am using NB is when playing sienna with dagger on FoW, legend and lower sometimes when i am lazy :) but cata+ NB is suicide...you will do one mistake and you are forced to play more defensive to get some temp HP, since u cannot get green HP back.
Favorite V2 RU-vidr, from who I have follow various guides and have improved a lot in the game: Natural Bond is trash. Me: All my heros have NB (Playing Unchained, Outcast, Thorn Sister/Handmaiden, and Grial Knight). Also me: we'll see about that. I feel like Unchained is the one Class I would keep NB on, since first talent allows to have Temp Health all the time (hitting various enemies) and NB regen health slowly, leaving heals to my commrades. Note that I play Champ right now, trying to climb to Legend.
I'd say there is a use for Resourceful Shooter for sure, but it requires that you're either not the best shot ever, or simply don't have Double-Shotted available yet because of level, or are using something else. If you have it on your gun, and you play Bounty Hunter with Rapier, you can use Blessed Combat to reset Blessed Shot for a guaranteed crit. You can then use your alt-fire mode which WILL actually activate Resourceful Shooter, despite it not being on the Rapier. This also means you wont waste ammo, or expose yourself to incoming damage. Also gives you the option of not being forced into Double Shotted quite as hard, which allows you to play around with horde clearing from Indiscriminate Blast, or simply allows you to use Just Reward in case you really can't pull off headshots, cause you will be firing a crit bullet every 4 seconds anyways. More newbie friendly I guess. All that being said, I'd still pick Double Shotted regardless. But yeah, some people just can't hit headshots, and this is a potential solution for them.
Swift Slaying most melee weapons, Oportunist for Shields and some weapons potentially. Hunter or Barrage for certain weapons builds, Conservative shooter for most characters for sustain, Sienna Thermal Equaliser for BW and Unchained, Hunter on Pryomancer. Bark Skin for Necklace. Charm trait depends entirely on the character but Proxy most of the time, Decanter for idk weaves or something, very rarely use Concoction unless it's Ranger Vet with Pistol or Shade perhaps, maybe Bounty Hunter. Trinket Shrapnel to soften up groups of armoured enemies or sometimes bosses. Done easy lol
I actually like Off Balance on Slayer with Skull Splitter build. Since Greataxe kills everything, i use Greathammer as secondary for that + block movement speed, max BCR/Stamina so i can clutch, and Off Balance shrapnels a monster or patrol by just blocking.
Damn I actually learned a lot here thx 👌 Btw you could add the explanations of the traits in the description, it was a little hard to follow you because I dont know all of the traits by heart lol
I can't find much on Decanter also boosts effectiveness by 50%, I did find something about it did do that but was likely a bug that got fixed but is maybe back, you need to do a test PK and actually find out, so just take a purple pot and record Decanter Vs Proxy Vs Concoction and verify what does it actually do
I genuinely thought Boon of Shalya was kinda useless until now. And I presume if its ranked this highly, it must mean that it also affects temp HP gained from traits, right? Also, I think there's something to be said for Natural Bond in situations where you can't trust in your teammates at all, besides the no-pickup deed scenarios. I also find that at lower levels, combined with shared Waystalker regen, it tends to keep people out of 1-poke-kill range very effectively. Probably a lot less useful in Cata difficulty, I imagine.
I am playing with natural bond, but only when I am playing with an aggressive heat ventilation style. When playing Sister of Thorns with her staff to spam hex on all elites and specials (she does not need to heal), ironbreaker with flamethrower so my teammates can concentrate on the elites (gromril armor avoids hits), and more rarely sienna if I want to spam a staff. I prefer barskin on sienna.
Mate I am happy that you can make it work - doesn't change though that in comparision to these other traits it just sucks. I would have put it in F tier, no doubt.
Hahaha it was coffee my friend! :D Simply had that colour because I sometimes put milk in when I'm too impatient to wait for the instant coffee to cool down haha xD
GASP! Off balance is D tier! D: But you told me to put it on my battle wizard. Liar!!! haha Why do you not like natural bonds? You mentioned scenarios where you could use it, but you didn't really say why its bad in your opinion.
Wait I did?!?! xD When did I say that haha?!? As for NB I just think in most cases the benefit of 1 hp every 5 seconds is heavily outweighed by ability or lack there of to obtain permanent health without having someone else medkit you. Consider that if you have 120-180 maximum HP it takes 10-15 minutes to fully regenerate all of your health which in my opinion makes it significantly quicker to simply find a health pot hehe :D
@@ThePartyKnife Check out your BW mastery guide. When talking about the slow cooker you used off balance for weaves. You justified it for the fact that your mainly using your melee to block and survive while everything slowly burns to death.
I completely disagree with you about Natural Bonds and Parry. NB for me is up there with barkskin. Barkskin only does something if a) you are bad enough to get hit several times within very few seconds, or if you get DoT, but only some classes struggle dealing with sources of DoT. Shrapnel is just a 20% damage buff, Explosive Ordnance doesn't increase a blast radius, it just lowers the damage drop of so damage is more spread out higher on average, but Shrapnel is just better overall
It is only hard because you try to rate traits that are not exclusive. Actually a tier list for each equipment time would be more realistic and useful. Why rate heat sink vs decanter? You never have ti chose between those
Firstly I asked you guys which of the two you would prefer and this was your answer. Secondly the problem with making one for each piece of equipment is that you barely have enough to traits to make a list. This is simply the equivalent of having combined all of thosse individual ones on the same list so you get the exact same info. Just compare traits from the same equipment types?
Did boon of shallya dirty. Deserves to be a tier. Barkskin is for newish players. I almost never get hit twice in a Row by anything besides specials for it to activate
This is such a wrong statement, Meta is Barkskin and always has been, saves you from assassin's or enemies hitting you whilst grabbed by Pack Masters and Leaches, consecutive hits from everything (especially monks and Berserkers).
