At 80 years old I am living life vicariously thru you, Cap't Jack! Love to start my day with coffee and your video - your skill with documenting your journey allows me to feel like I am hiking along with you! Thank you for bringing joy to me every day -
It is neat to see the leaves changing colors as you went North and now as you are heading South. I love the water falls whether they are large or small. The sound is so calming. You are meeting some really nice, genuine people that are glad to help you. I am thankful for you and your videos.
I look forward to watching your videos everyday. You consistently make the most creative and entertaining, and beautiful documentation of hiking the AT. Thanks so much for sharing.
So nice to see a campfire again! Reminds me of your early days on the trail at the beginning of the year, when there were many campfires a blazing. Definitely feeling fall coming. Always appreciate your videos.
This is Captain Jack. The university email tied to the channel has been disabled. I’m posting on another channel until I can figure this out. Please spread the word. TrippinOnLife is where I’ll post until I can hopefully regain access to the other channel. Sorry for the inconvenience
Shout out to all the VT folks helping Captain Jack get where he needs to go so he can continue his amazing videography. I am sure you have inspired others outside of NE to give the Long Trail a try. I love my Maine trips in the Autumn, something about mountains and the ocean for me. But I need to explore more of VT.
🚶👟👟⛺🌞 now all the green is fading away don't be long everything will be brown and dead but will make for some good views keep pushing on very grateful for the videos you make stay safe and happy hiking 💯💪🏆 AKA Louisiana mountain man
So what I want to know is, did you restage the shot to get from 9:38 to 9:40, given the two different angles on what looks like the same scene and action? If so, that is dedication to your craft! Otherwise just looked cool somehow 😉 Also loved the serial shots with different leaves starting at 12:03. Cool. Shot o’ the Day: 5:08
It was a pleasure meeting you on trail and having some great conversation on top of Mt. Mansfield and at Taft Lodge. My brother (Loki) and I (Bliss) finished the LT NOBO on 9/14. Can't imagine turning around and going SOBO!! You ROCK Captain Jack! Your videos are beautiful and I have great respect for what you are doing out there. Being kind, honest and sharing your journey with so many. Hike on!!
Coffee, dose depends on the day, one hot chocolate packet, two oatmeal packets, and creamer if I have it. In about 1/2 -3/4s a liter of water depending on how strong I want it.
