Just ran this trail for the first time. Toyota FJ with 33s no lockers.. Lots of long deep puddles. No winching as everything seemed to have a hard bottom. Biggest concern was lots of leaves on the water and it was hard to see if there were any big rocks to hit under the water. Great trail that I want to run the other way next time. Will have an ARB rear locker by then!
so i commented yesterday that we were doing this trail.. we did it yesterday in my discovery with zero issue! we didnt need to winch at all. never got stuck on anything. we came up on that little bridge with missing boards and i was like "THATS THE BRIDGE FROM THE VIDEO!" lmao. we found the cabin up there. it took us 2 and a half hours to complete it. i would of like to stay overnight but my girl had to be in work this morning for 8am. none the less it was a great trail! PLEASE make more videos in new England and hook us up with the coordinates. also we did this yester in the pouring rain and like 10 inches of snow haha. those water crossing were plentiful. thanks bro! you gave us some incredible memories!!
Thank you so much for the comment the best comment i could ever imagine. Im glad yall had fun and got thru everything A ok. Here is my insta shoot me a dm and we can link up for some wheeling and camping insta-4thebrandadventure.
Where is this trail? I just moved up to VT and had my little spots in RI and have been looking for some good trails in Southern/Central VT. Any info would be greatly appreciated 👍
I couldn't help but notice your NJ tag... I live up in Ramsey NJ... Do you still have the jeep? Im looking for new friends to off road with, especially out of state overlanding and Backcountry exoloring
So my gf still lives in jersey and its her jeep i just recently moved to start our new lives in Colorado and i have a 1980 cj7 build that ill be posting before to long. If you want send me a pm on inst @4thebrandadventure and we can always meet up and do some overlanding.
@@panagiotisf7228 I heard they removed the concrete blocks and opened it back up. Tbh I haven’t had a chance to confirm that myself. Although it’s my understanding it used to be a legal spot
@@4thebrand283 yeah so far put a 66k motor in her, 8k driving so kinks worked out and now doing the off road items. Lift, tires, bumpers and winch then go from there.
The problem with off-roading today with anything let's say new like a Jeep or a truck is the airbag system one bump or one of those sensors you'll get a face full of bag
For anyone thats interested in doing this trail i recorded the path with Gaia GPS so you can follow the exact routes and go arounds. i have the GPX file for anyone who wants it.
talked about winching and didnt see any of it..... ask question if its worth it and never answered....... great shots but I still know nothing of Vermont and if its worth it.....
Loved the comment the question is more for you to answer yourself but what i can say is that at the end of the video i did say i wouldnt have traded that trip for anywhere else so for me yes the trails in vermont are worth it if you would like the gps cords for the trail please let me know
And to answer your question about the winching in the middle of the video I do believe I talked about possibly having to winch through a couple of those mud holes because it looked really bad but luckily I and I showed in the video that there is a bypass and I even said that we were gonna take the bypass because we didn't really feel like getting stuck if we didn't have to. Hope that clears a few things up. Thank you for watching and have fun on the trail.
