I like to compare translations and then define different words used as well. I think it helps me grasp the meaning.

Thank you for the great video! One tricky thing about Greek is that a word used has a different meaning depending on its use. I was studying a Greek word that was there but the English word clashes with the context. It took some digging before I found out that that word should have been translated in light of a different form. When I got that, the context made sense with that passage and it was in agreement with passages elsewhere on the same subject. 🤔 The most correct translation for this word was in the Geneva Bible. I’m sorry about writing too much. 🥺

As you’re researching words that stand out to you may I suggest that you use a Strong’s Concordance app that will give you the biblical meaning of the words? It’s SO rich with Godly information. Shalom

Thank you so much for this video. I have recently started really studying my Bible and have seen the term "Verse Mapping" so often but didn't understand what it meant. Using your explanation, I went and just had a look at Psalm 91:1 and I just have to say Wow! This is certainly going to take my Bible Study to a whole new level! I've had a massive book that combines the Strongs Concise Concordance and Vince Concise Dictionary and have never ever used it because I didn't know how. I get it now! And I also now have so many of the apps you were talking about installed on my phone. I can't wait to finish work today so I can really get into the Word with this new knowledge!

I love how organized and creative you are in studying the Bible. My Bible is a lot messier, but I kinda do similar things. I tend to pick more word studies, like say "righteousness," "faith," "believe," or "love,": then I look up as many verses as I can in the Old and New Testaments. Part of the reason I do this is because we may not realize it, but each person can define these words differently. Take "love" for example; some churches except sinful behaviour and call it "love," while other churches tell people to repent and turn from sin and say that's "love." So I started to realize that words and meanings change over time and that it was important to know how GOD DEFINES these words, and not man. It was very meaningful to find my definition on many Biblical words has come from a worldly perspective and not a Godly one. I also was given a Bible that tells you where every verse in the New Testament comes from in the Old Testament prophets, or other Old Testament scriptures; and that's like what you do with the parallel verses. This was also extremely helpful to see where Jesus, Paul, Peter, etc.. we're all quoting from. Kinda like cross referencing. Thanks for inspiring Bible study.

Verse mapping if done correctly is in-depth study 🧡🧡 as long as you are going through one whole book, verse by verse, and digging into some original language words, cross reference verses, and even some commentary, then you are going to learn soooo much!!

Do you eventually do all the verses in that chapter or do you write the whole chapter and analyze it all? How do you single out a single verse?

Very good question! I have done them all before but I get very burnt out. I feel like that's a lot! So now I just pick one or two verses that stand out. I read all of the chapter or section, but then I just pick a few verses to look closer into.
