I'm so loving how you pointed out that John 1:1-2 refers to Jesus. Our ladies group is studying John and the I AM statements and she pointed out an awesome cross reference to Genesis 1:3-4. She asked us simply when was the sun created, what day? After looking back we realized it was the fourth day. But on the first day God said "Let there be light and there was light and the light was good" and "the light" was separated from the darkness. Jesus said "I am the light" ... whoa ... Jesus was made on the first day AND separated from the dark. Before the actual literal sun and darkness was separated. I was mind blown ! Lol. It raised some questions for me to dig into further on my own when this study is over. Was the darkness that Jesus was separated from the enemy? Was it from man's sinful nature before man was made? He had made Christ and man from the beginning knowing that Christ would come save all of mankind?? It's so cool how just two verses or sentences can say so much and make you absorb alot as well.

I could follow an entire Bible study of yours. Doing this to each chapter. It's amazing I'm just starting out actually studying the Word and you made me understand just this little bit so well! I wish you did more Bible study videos like this of whole chaptes!!

I appreciate this series, thank you for making these videos. I’ve been a Christian all my life, but recently started to study the Bible on my own. The three color system has been so helpful. An app that I also find helpful is the “You version” Bible app, for comparisons and reading plans. On days where it’s hard for me to focus I like to listen to the passage I plan on reading while reading my physical Bible.

Yay!!! I'm so excited!! I'm a 37 year old beginner and I just LOVE your vids! I've watched a few now and I think I've decided on a study bible (NIV Quest Study Bible). I'm downloading the Bible Hub app as I'm typing this. I've listened to the entire New Testament on audiobook and just adored every minute of it. Thank you so much for helping to take out the intimidation in studying the Word! What really attracted me to wanting to subscribe to your channel is your enthusiasm. What is your opinion on the Modern English Version? That is the bible I have. Would it be a good main study bible or should I just use it as a comparison version.

Hi Nicki I just watched this video, the 2nd video talking about Interpretation. When this video ended I could not find the next one that should follow. I only trust the King James Version because it's closer to the actual writings as the actual original. I do have the NLT and Message Bible.
