You didnt had enough time with your new position but you say yes. Then the same smart ass that is pushing you to fight someone you have never met reveals that he knows more than you know. If it wasn't obvious already. Not helping you or anything. Just stroking his own ego. Nothing more. Versus had the temper of a prophet tbh. I would be way more angry.
when I read the manga I imagined him with a higher pitched, "whinier" voice. I love that it ended up being the exact opposite. gives a totally different tone to him snapping
One minor pet peeve of mine in Part 3 is that all the enemy Stand users just blindly follow Dio, because they're greedy or evil or something. When Ungalo and Rikiel had some sort of idol worship on Pucci, I was getting pisses, too. It's Part 3 all over again. I'm glad Araki changed things this time around. Versus telling Pucci to shut up is such a mood. I'm glad the three brothers all have their distinct personalities, compare to Part 3 where literally almost every enemy Stand users were just smug assholes.
Blindly follow isn't quite accurate, most of Dios followers were at the end of their rope or too stupid to realize that there really is no reward in serving his aims Even doing good work on his behalf, there wasn't much he could do in the way of bestowing valor. Probably because no one could ever know what his intent really IS. Not that he would let them know. Dio spent his days pontificating hedonism, which is endless The pull to serving him was being on the cutting room floor of his kingdom. It's a bit like Apocalypse's plan. Being a powerful mutant in his world grants you a seat on his cabinet. So to torment a world that supposedly had it in for you That's the tried and true satanic promise "I'll give you all the kingdoms if only you would bow to me" Essentially saying that doing your best wasn't doing you any favors anyways, how's about being an instrument on call when _I_ need you. So you are forever putting your ear to the ground so that when he rolls around, everyone who mocked you can see that you're on his good side Realistically, the only person who followed Dio without question was Vanilla Ice. He just had that personality type to be a tool and worship the ground Dio walks on. Enya was a diviner, waiting in the wings for a charismatic like Dio to rule from the underworld. Literally every other stand was either fodder, remote controlled, or narcissistic sociopaths And you read in the companion piece (despite being non canon) that Dio is constantly questioning the loyalty of his subjects. Most megalomaniacs run their company this way. They have to prove that they are on their toes better than anyone else. Everything is a competition. And had Araki designed the world with its original intent, he would literally be squaring up with every other stand. They settled on it being the same type of stand as Star Platinum
