Yes indeed, the Raptor tires are huge 17 inch off road tyres. The wheel and tire weigh about 70 lbs to 80lbs. -- just my guess Thanks for sharing the story. I traveled a lot by Greyhound back in nineteen hundred and frozen to death 😁

When we came back I noticed that my tires were all worn out to the wear bars. And we were travelling 80 mph on their high speed freeways. We dodged a bullet! I think I will replace these tires.

Wow, 80mph! We live in the small island province of Bohol. I drive a Ford Raptor but my average speeds are 60klm to 80klm the National highway is still only a two lane road in parts. Much work is going on to widen the road but it will always be "local" straddled as it is by small communities (Barangeys) and bustling with village style life. Drivers must be vigilant and allow for many safety hazards, it's not relaxed driving 😁

@@AForeignerinthePhilippines Good morning, Terence. How are you? I think all filapinas are very nervous about driving anything bigger than a motorbike. My wife was the same way. I insisted that she do it for the benefit of the both of us. First, we located a nice, quiet road off the beaten path with very light traffic. Then, just start off slowly 🐌. It took her 8 months of practice driving 3 hours per day to get her confidence built up to the point where she was no longer nervous about driving. I put her through all of the paces - driving around sharp turns; parallel parking; backing up; backing up around turns; starting and stopping hills; parking on hills. Anyway, I think you get my drift. Once l felt she was confident enough in her driving skills to allow her to practice driving on busier roads roads. We did that for another 2 months. Then she took an eye test on a chart and got her drivers license. That was 8 years ago. You will need to check current rules and regulations. Believe me, that was one of the best gifts 🎁 I ever gave her and me, too. No more driving headaches for me. I can sit back and relax now. By the way, I taught her to drive on king cab, four-wheel drive

I'm in awe of your courage and dedication. Congratulations. Beth needs to take lessons seriously, we are getting there now as she has learned to ride her scooter on the busy roads. I have it thoughts but it may be a while before she gets behind the wheel of the Raptor

@@AForeignerinthePhilippines The first step is always the most difficult to take, Terence. Build-up her confidence by praising her current motorbike driving skills. Before doing anything else, have Beth sit in the vehicle's driver's seat while it's parked. I had to put a cushion in the driver's seat in order for Sheena's feet to touch both the accelerator and the break peddles once the seat is adjusted for her. The first couple of weeks I had Sheena sit in the driver's seat as I used the driver's manual to explained to her about all of the bells and

The family were totally honest even when they knew I thought it was all my fault, they still said it was an accident.

The main reason I ride my bike is for fun ( and cheaper on gas😁)

True, this happened at around 5mph in busy traffic conditions in Talibon center. The tire blew either just before passing the motorcycle or level with it according to the rider and his family who said they lost control due to the blowout.

It was a shock and hard to process that the family were not upset with me, believing as I did it was my fault. It was only later that I discovered they felt they had lost control due to the tire blow out and it was just an accident. As you so rightly said, the family were honest.

Yes I was when it happened as I saw in my side mirror the family fall off the bike even at walking speed. So glad there were only scrapes and bruises
